My annual visit to Kiskiack. I just like the layout of this course, and the fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens were running pretty fast for this early in the season. I still have issues with the bunkers...a lot of erosion on the sides, and very thin on sand. They had a fair amount of rain the previous two days, so I will cut them some slack; however, they could have run the rake through them quickly to try and even them out a bit.

Played on Thursday morning and then again today (Saturday). On Thursday, the bunkers on the back were in really bad shape. However, they did some work on most of the bunkers and they were in much better condition, except for two holes which showed a lot of severe erosion. (They had a shotgun tournament go off at 8:00 am this morning, so I guess recovered all they could.) Fairways in good shape, as are the greens, although they are a little slow. Always nice in the pro shop. Really like this course and always a good option while in Williamsburg.

Haven't played Kiskiack in several years. In excellent condition. The front nine greens were in great shape, and the back nine greens had been aerated and top dressed, so were a little different in feel and roll. The rough is tough here--the balls just sink to the roots and are difficult to find and play out of that thick, coarse grass. Nice layout with plenty of bunkers in play. The only issue were the leaves having collected in some of the bunkers and in the swales in the rough--a little more care could have been taken to clean up the course. But, overall in good condition, and only $40/player with the Tee Time Book.

The course was in good shape except for the bunkers. They were full of water in many cases and eroded from the top and edges--looked like they hadn't been raked in a while. The rough was also punishing, with long Bermuda where it was easy to lose a ball. The staff was extremely nice, but they would allow twosomes to play alone (since they "didn't want to play with anyone else"). Made for a slower-than-needed round. With the Waggle Book, it was $35/each, but the normal rate of $99/each is way overpriced for this tract. Best to shop online for discounted tee times.

Bright, warm sunny day, and the course was in great condition. Make sure you know what the stimp is, and if it's what it was when we played, you need to spend some time on the putting green.

If this wasn't a tourist town, this course would be way over priced. Greens were painted green, bumpy and awful. Tees were long, I couldn't figure out where to tee my ball because i couldn't tell how deep the grass was. Some sort of tractor on every hole it seemed. Not a good course.

Kiskiack was in good shape other than a couple of greens that were still recovering from a very dry summer. Front is a blast, but the back nine tends to be a bit repetitive.
