What a great Sunday at Augusta! Tiger came from seven back to finish the day at 10 under par, which at one point was a good enough for a share of the lead. Rory Mcilroy, the leader going into the today’s round, saw the wheels fall off on par four-10th. He hit his tee shot way off to the left in between two cabins and proceeded to make a triple bogey. He followed that up with a bogey on 11 and double bogey on 12 and a bogey on 15, taking him out of the contention. Fellow Australians, Adam Scott and Jason Day both played extremely well throughout the entire tournament but came up short two strokes short of Charl Schwartzel.
Charl Schwartzel, 26 years old of South Africa, is your 2011 Masters Champion. He closed out his final round with four straight birdies putting him at 14 under par for the tournament. Prior to today, his best finish at the Masters was last year when he finished in 30th place. He won the 2010 and 2011 Joburg Open and the 2010 Africa Open.
