Pilgrim's Oak Golf Course of Peach Bottom, PA
My first favorable impression of Pilgrim's Oak came when I made the tee time. We were told right then (without having to ask) that the greens had been aerated and sanded. To me that was refreshing because most courses will not tell you this unless you ask. When we got there the staff was very friendly and professional. We got out 30 min. early and the course is extremely nice. The teeboxes and fairways were in great shape. the greens were actually not in bad shape. They had been swept which made them better than we expected. This course is visually beautiful. I guess it would be considered a links style course. It would be tough to walk because there are a lot of elevation changes. Fairways are fairly wide and most greens are huge with tiers. Get above the hole on most of these greens and you will have a tough time stopping the ball near the hole. Sunday pin placements so most of the pins wer on the bottom side of the greens. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and the course. I will be looking forward to playing again soon. Cost was $45.00 with cart. Great Course! Only drawback I can find is that there is no alchohol on Sundays.
