The only reason this course gets 1 star from me is because I enjoyed the layout. It was different from most other courses in the area in that there are several holes where you wouldn't even consider pulling the driver out. You'll need to strategize not just whack your driver and play it from the next fairway. Now lets talk course conditions, they sucked! No other way to say it. The tee boxes were mostly overgrown, the fairways were either tall, riddled with crabgrass, moss, or straight dirt and the greens.... well to be honest they were the best part of the course BUT every single one had bare black spots. I was pi$$ed to have spent $49 to play this cow pasture. Here's my tip if you wanted to play here, take your $50 and instead stop at one of the restaurants you pass on Main St before you get to the course. At least the food will stay with you longer than any good memory from this course. Like I said I really did like the layout but this place needs lots of work. Ciao.

I was very pleased with the conditions of this course, it is in great shape! The maintenance staff has done a great job of keeping this course very pristine after the long and rough winter we just had. The greens are in perfect shape with perfect roll and no bumps at a 9 on a stimpmeter. Walking into the beautiful clubhouse overlooking the course with a view that is like no other. The staff was very inviting and pleasing with smiles on their faces. This course has great value with prices hard to beat. In the Blue Heron Grille, I had the greatest crab cakes I had ever had, they were 100% jumbo lump with very very little filler. All around a great property.

Every time I play here I wonder why I ever come back. I suppose its nostalgia. It was the first course I ever played a full 18 on as a kid. Back then it was a lush gem. Now its in horrendous shape. No driving range. Faiways are all crabgrass if gour lucky to have grass as all. All bunkers have to be played as GUR because of the half dollar to softball size stones. And they made a par 5 a par 3. Without letting us know ahead of time. Cutting it down to a par 68. This place is horrible. I fear it wont be open for long. Avoid this course, I will just make the jump to PA now on and avoid the $6 toll anyways.

Tight course and if fairly good shape. Greens are good. Traps have a thin layer of light sand with a heavier layer underneath. Fairways and tees are good but patchy in some places. Hole #14 (par 5) is being worked on and is playing as a par 3 while the work is being done. No drinking water on the course yet and the snack bar is not yet open on weekdays.

Fairways, rough, and greenside fringe were patchy with patches of dirt. Traps were ok, but very firm. Greens were excellent. Snack bar was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but that may be a seasonal limitation. Layout was interesting with a lot of trees bordering the fairway. I'm hoping the fairways and fringe improve over the summer.

Fairways are in the process of being aerated, but don't look like they were in very good shape before. rough is grassless hard pan in many locations. Greens are in excellent condition, but extremely fast. Sand in traps is extemely heavy. Staff members are friendly and halpful. Snack bar is limited.

Chesapeake Bay Golf Club is in spectacular condition. The greens, fairways and tee boxes are all in good shape. Hole #8 is my favorite, a short par 4, begs you to go for the green, but if you miss you are in a deep bunker. Very fun and challenging course, and the staff was great.

Course is starting to come in. Greens are looking great but fairways and rough are a little coarse yet. Sand in traps was heavy. Snack bar is still closed for the season, but staff is friendly and winter rates still apply.
