Hampshire Greens is in fantastic shape. When arriving at the course the starter walked out in to the parking lot, popped my trunk and grabbed my bag. Although this is much of the norm at a top dollar course, I was a bit surprised by this type of service at Hampshire.
The practice facility is great for a quick warm up before the round, they have a large putting green and chipping area. The range balls were free which is a nice gesture considering the greens fees are less than $70 on a Sunday morning. The matts on the range were a bit hard, but it appeared they also have some grass tees that were not open.
I cannot say enough about the condition of the course. First, the greens were immaculate, there were no brown spots, ball marks seemed to be for the most part fixed and they were set at a good consistent speed throughout the course. The fairways on a few holes were a bit wet, but in the low lying areas where it was wet it didn't come in to play. Tee boxes were well manicured as well. Pace of play was as expected on a Sunday morning, we clocked in at around 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Overall, very impressed by both the service and overall course conditions at Hampshire Greens.
