The course was in great shape, but sometimes more importantly the staff was more than accommodating. We teed off at 9:40, and right off the first tee the group in front of us were playing super slow, we notified the ranger at the end of the first hole and he was right on top of it. The ranger spoke with them and we never had a problem for the rest of the 9. At the turn it started to rain, after speaking with the staff, they told us a storm was coming and it did not look like the rain would let up. We threw our clubs in the car went back up to the pro shop and since we weren't from the area they gave us a refund for the back 9. I have been rained out many times and always received rain checks, which usually went unused. You can tell the staff at Blue Mash truly understands the importance of customer relationships.
Now on to the course, first they have a HUGE grass range which is always a plus, a large chipping area and nice putting green. The first three holes are long Par 4's. Holes 2 and 3 share a fairway so off the tee there is a lot of room to work with. Hole #4 is a straight forward Par 3, and then after that the course gets a lot shorter, there are few Par 4's that are actually reachable from the tee. The greens were in great shape, they rolled true, and there were relatively no unfixed divots (which is uncommon for a public course). The fairways were in pretty good shape, but definitely had signs of heavy play and the tee boxes were in ok shape also the result of heavy play. At the end of the day only playing 9 worked out ok for me because I got a great Kosher hot dog from the restaurant and got home early.
