Not good.
Our golf secretary usually does a great job of locating the perfect course to play. Pro shop is empty dark and a little scary to enter. Carts are just worn out and filthy dirty.
The overall layout is great with "old school" small greens that are not bad. Tee boxes are 1/3 ok, bare, or weed covered. Fairways are being kept cut with weeds throughout. The traps/bunkers appear to have been completely abandoned. (We had a lost ball in the weeds in the trap)
This place may be on its last legs.....that would be a shame.
If you would like to help save the course, come on out for a few rounds and help the cash-flow. Or maybe they need a venture capitalist......
The overall conditions-Lewinski-, but it may be worth saving.
You've been warned and encouraged at the same time.
Bring your own sand.

Played here again today and it reminded me how much fun this course is and what an excellent value it offers. Course was in good condition - fairways cut, rough not too penal, and greens were in pretty good shape. Some very undulating greens can make this one a challenge - particularly because the speed isn't consistent green to green. Course is open enough for an average hacker to hit ball, go find ball, and hit ball again. Bare bones staffing, but everyone is friendly. Definitely a "locals" course and don't come expecting a high-end experience. $17 with cart for 18 holes on Wednesdays - great value right there.

Grenns are in excellent condition, they are fast and have a lot of tough reads. Sand in traps is a little heavy but playable. Fairways are generally good but a little thin on some holes. Limited but excellent snack bar. Course is a good deal at $22 for seniors with cart on weekday mornings.

Nice course layout. Front nine is fairly straight forward, but the back nine has several difficult holes. Greens are in excellent shape, but very fast. Sand in traps is a little heavy but playable. Fairways and rough need some work. All of the fairways have some patches of dirt. Additionallly, several of the fairways have numerous "potholes", possibly a result of the recent heavy rains. Snack bar is severely limitedin the winter. Weekday greens fees are $17 with a cart.

Fairways and traps in good condition. Roughs in good condition except for a few bare spots. Greens were fast and very undulating, but would not hold a shot from any distance including from inside 100 yards. Staff was friendly and TeeTime rate is $20 including a cart.

Was only able to play 9 holes Friday due to the rain and the slow foursomes in front of me (who definitely gave me the impression of locals that had their own pace). I would like to go back to Maple Run in a month or so and see if the faiways fill out. I thought the greens were more than a challenge to figure out with their unorthodox style, which made it a challenge to stay on them and be in the right positions to avoid three putting. The general experience I got was of a Links style course that had a tough summer.
