I haven't written a review in a while because I haven't seen any course worth commenting on. That changed today. Glade Valley is in superb shape. Greens, fairways, rough and sand traps are almost perfect. Sand was fluffy today since it has dried out for a couple of days and there is still a problem with people not raking as often as they should. There were many maintenance people out today. If fact I saw one man running around and manually inspecting and raking traps when needed. This course is greatly improved since the first time I played it several years ago.

With the Tee Time Book, was $38 on a Saturday morning! That is a great deal. The course was in excellent condition, from tee boxes to fairways to greens. All filled in and green, and the greens were a tad faster than normal, but very playable. Starter was extremely nice and actually got us out about 20 minutes early. The only reasons for the 4 vs. 5 overall rating was because of 1) thick, heavy sand that was like being on the beach at Ocean City vs. in a golf bunker, and 2) slow play. It finally picked up on around #15, but everyone was stacked up. Finally, my "pet peeve" was hit big time on this course--players not raking the bunkers! Every bunker (those I was in and those I looked in when I walked by) were unraked. Really? Just pick up the rake and clean up after yourself. I don't understand why this is so difficult...

Glade Valley was running an NFL special...$25 w/cart! Great deal, but as a consequence the course was packed and moving pretty slowly. (Thus, the 4 stars vs. 5.) Luckily, though, our tee time was after the rain stopped, so we didn't get wet, and the sun actually came out in the early afternoon. The course was in great shape--I haven't played it for several years. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough all in excellent shape. The greens, too, were in great shape, albeit a little long but understandable with the couple of days of rain. Even with all the rain overnight, the fairways were amazingly dry. The only really wet fairway was #10--all others only had small puddles here and there, and some were completely dry. The bunkers were in great shape, as well. It looks like extra sand was recently added, so they were pretty fluffy. I only saw standing water on #1 in bunkers. Very nice staff and they were marshaling all afternoon--nice to see. Glade Valley is not difficult, but will challenge you to work the ball to place it in the correct position for following shots. Always a nice course to play--you won't be disappointed with the conditions.

Glade is usually a good choice for a day of golf. Rarely will you be disappointed. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes all were good.
Traps were in need of a good power raking and have some rocks in them.
Easy course with good conditions.
Brand new carts. But, they will ask for your printed name, signature, phone number and drivers license number to sign out a cart. That's not gonna last. Dewey, Screwem, and Howe will see to that.
Just don't be a knuckle-head and beat up the carts.

It's been a year since I've played this course and I was pleasantly surprised. Tees, fairways, rough, traps and greens are all in excellent shape. Track is wide open. Makes for a great day of golf. Snack bar is open but limited selection.

Glade as usual is in very good condition.
We will have to pass on Glade Valley for weekend golf for a while. 5 hours and 20 minutes is too long. There were, at one time, six foursomes on a par five. No ranger at all on a Sunday morning.

Nice layout without a lot of water hazards. Course is in excellent shape. The only minor drawback is some of the tee boxes are a liitle beat up. That is to be expected this time of year. Good snack bar and friendly, helpful staff. I'll go back.

Played in an Outing today at Glade Valley....came off 18 heading to 1 when I see the Starter starting groups in between our Outing Groups. He tells me they scheduled another Outing as well as ours and were going to alternate Groups. Well 5 hrs later we finally finished. This place is a joke and to pay 75$ for this Outing still burns, for that price I could have played Raspberry Falls. Course was in decent shape except that the Tee Boxes are chewed up.Avoid this Place.

Lush green everywhere. There were 2 teeboxes pushed forward but, the ones they were protecting were emerald green and divot free. Fairways excellent. Greens were firm and green throughout. Fairways have already recovered from aeration.
Staff including the starter were happy to see you. Easy course with some narrow shots out of the box.
Play was slow but, we jumped around on 10 and finished in 4 even.
Highly recommend this course

When things didnt work out to play Raspberry Falls my group mentioned Glade Valley....I thought, I dont think so.We did play and I have to give them credit, management has tightened things up, I was pleasantly suprised with the conditions and how mature the course has gotten. Those small saplings from 10 + years ago have now gotten to be 15' trees.Kudos to the staff for getting the course back in shape after some years of neglect.Very short fun golf course

Great value.
Greens and fairways were in great shape. Greens were fast. Fairways had a few sloppy patches due to standing water. Rough was very thick. Again, due to excess rain and they were doing the best they could to keep up with mowing.
Snack bar was ok. Front desk was friendly with low fee.
Some of the tee boxes could use a little work.
Overall it was a very good outing of 4.5 hours with cart path only.
Will play again soon.

We had a frost delay for about 45 minutes but the course handled it very well and was in perfect condition. The greens were really nice to putt on. The course is not very tough, but very enjoyable. The clubhouse had good food at reasonable prices. I saw the starter a couple times during our round and he was very friendly.

Glade Valley is in great shape - only an hour outside of Baltimore this course is a great course to boost your confidence, wide open fairways and large greens contribute to your ability to score. The fairways were in great condition, the rough had some brown patches, but nothing that really affected your shot. The greens were the best part of the course, all 18 greens were in perfect shape, they rolled true and were fairly flat.

Great, easy open course. The greens were consistently true, and though rain has been scarce, the course was very green. Enjoyable, forgiving course. The food at the turn was top notch. No cart girl all day...

Midweek for $25 and 2 free drinks on an extremely well maintained course can't be beat. Currently dry and hard in the rough, but nice layout minimizes playing in the rough.
