Once again, course is in fantastic condition with an excellent senior rate of $29. Fairways, greens, and traps were all in near perfect condition. Greens were fast but true and traps (where I spent most of the day) had fluffy playable sand. Snack bar had wide selection of menu options.

Course is in excellent condition for winter time. Fairways have good dormant grass on them and greens roll true with reasonable speed. Excellent bargain for this time of year.

Frederick County has a bunch of pretty sweet courses, but which one is the best? I bet you wouldn't say Clustered Spires. However, taking everything in to consideration (cost, conditions, staff) I think Clustered Spires tops the Frederick's. I believe this is the only municipal in Frederick County, and the conditions are among the best. Today the course was in perfect condition.

Course is in excellent condition and the staff obviously works hard to keep it that way. Greens rolled true and held high pitch shots. Fairways were full and ball sat on top of grass. Traps had good sand even though it rained the night before. Even the tees were spotless. Layout is not particularly challenging from the whites, but I love the course.

I play this course quite frequently and am never disappointed. This year they have added a picturesque waterfall between the 1st tee and 9th greens, added both a pond and green-fronting bunker to the 11th hole and converted the waste area on the par 3 16th hole into a sizable lake. The entire course (management, tee boxes, fairways and service) is in excellent condition. But what sets this course apart are the greens which are always perfect and very challenging even this early in the season. It always amazes me that the head greenskeeper has not been hired away by one of the local upscale courses. This course is truly a municipal gem and well worth the trip.

Great course to play out in Frederick County. Clustered Spires is a worthwhile hour drive from Baltimore. The greens were very challenging and in perfect condition. The fairways for the most part were in good condition however the rough was very dry. Overall Clustered Spires is a great deal for only $55 during peak hours.
