Greens continue to be a problem with a lot of dead spots that don't seem to be recoverable by next summer. Fairways and rough are3 excellent but tee boxes are a little beat up. Traps appear to be in good shape but difficult to tell after all of the rain the last two days. Snack bar is excellent with a greens fee special of 18 holes of golf with cart, a breakfast sandwich, and a lunch sandwich - all for $31. Staff is excellent .

Played Geneva Farm for the first time in a couple of years. A buddy of mine had won 4 free greens fees in a raffle so we decided to try it out.( you can't beat a free round of golf). the course is in fairly good shape. The teeboxes and fairways were in good shape. The greens were playable but some had mold and dead spots on the edges. They were rolling a little slow but nothing unbearable. They seem to have finally strightened out the green problems they were having on hole 12. This is the first time I have played there when there was not a temporary green on 12. All ithat being said the course is very playable and staff is very good. Pace of play slowed down for us on the back but we still finished in about 4hrs. Some elevation changes but nothing too drastic. As I said we played for free but regular rate of $52 on weekends may be a little high for some.

Course is in so-so condition. Fairways, rough, and traps are in good to excellent condition. Most tees are pretty well beat up and greens a fair at best with numerous areas of black (mold?). They are running a good combo deal right now -- greens fees, cart, breakfast sandwich, and lunch sandwich for $39. Hopefully the greens situation will get straighted out soon since there are several holes with interesting layouts.

This course has a very nice layout although seems a little bit tight for an 18 hole course.
Most of the greens are bad. Many of those dead spots with black crusty dirt. One green is closed completely. Most tee boxes are fine but one is worthless. Fairways are overall good. Half of the greens we came upon had no flags in the cup( it was breezy, but the flags did not fit properly into the cups).
The clubhouse is also a local restaurant. The staff was great inside. For that, I would say if you are in the area give it a try. I would not make a special trip.

The course was in good shape except for the greens. Patches of dirt and already burnt out in some patches. This course has good food but the golf is not really a bargin.

Played as a threesome in 4 hours. Fairways & rough were in good shape. Some tee boxes were chewed up and a few greens had dead patches. Greens were slow due to the overnight rain and held incomeing
shots. Some sun & rain and the course will green up nice. $45.00 for a weekday.

Course was in pretty good shape, except for one green that was brown and missing grass. But, for value (played after 2 for only 37, includes cart) it wasn't bad at all.

The course was pretty nice. The greens were lighting fast but had some bare spots. The fairways were tight and the traps were very hard with small lips. The overall course is a solid deal very hilly with some elevated tees. The carts have gps and the course has a yardage book. I would check out this gorgeous part of MD and enjoy the countryside.

Nice little course north of baltimore, with a lot of fun holes and a great friendly staff. Course was in very good shape. Would love to play again!

Course is not in as good of shape as it used to be. Most greens have significant burn-out spots. Number 11 is totally burnt out. Fairways are erratic. Some are in good shape, some are close shaved and some are up to an inch long. Tees are beat up pretty badly. Traps and rough are generally excellent. Snack bar is excellent but slow. Staff is friendly and helpful in all cases.

No idea what birdie and pizzle are talking about ... Geneva is the best bargain in Harford County! Sure, you can pay more elsewhere and get slightly better conditions, but for the $ this is the best venue in Harford County. The entire staff is friendly and the course continues to make improvements. Very playable golf course for all playing ablilities and very junior friendly. Great place to take your kids in the afternoon.

WARNING: Before reading this understand that I played the best round I've played all year. That having been said, read on!
If you were planning a trip to Geneva Farms, here's a better idea. Call your Mother in Law, take her to lunch, then treat her to a shopping spree at Victoria's Secret!
This course is in real bad shape. The tee boxes are chewed up, the fairways are grassless for the most part, the bunkers are infested with bees, and the greens had bare spots and some even had holes you could hide your foot in!
I wrote an email to the "powers that be" about having to pay full rates to play the course and received a reply stating that all the courses in the area are having a problem with the lack of rain. Well, I've played The Wetlands, (see review) and Pleasant Valley, both of which are just minutes from this course and they were both in primo shape.
Like I said earlier, if your golf buddies mention this course, do yourself a favor and take the few extra minutes to drive to either The Wetlands in Aberdeen, MD or Pleasant Valley in Stewartstown, PA.
You'll be glad you did. CIAO

Every time I've been there(unfortunately I had to play there) the staff has been unfriendly, slow pace of play, very poor conditions, and over priced. I've never seen this course in any decent shape. It is in need of some serious maintenance.

Excellent Conditions! The starter was super friendly and gave some great tips about the holes on the course. The course has well kept wide open fairways (I didn't even lose a ball). Very challenging greens, lots of fun.

This is a great beginner / intermediate course. Extremely forgiving from the tees. Greens were in OK condition, but the slope and pin placement were the real challenges. Staff was extremely helpful & friendly, especially at the turn.

This course was unbelievable for the money. I played here on a weekday morning. The course is a little shorter than most, but was in impeccable condition. The best part was the cost. For 30bucks, you got greens fees, cart rental, a sandwich, a fountain drink, chips, and coffee. I highly recommend this course for people looking for new courses to play.
