Course is in overall good condition. Greens are excellent; traps have good sand; leaves are cleared from the fairways and rough. The only minor problem is a significant number of unrepaired divots in the fairway and rough. Did not use the snack bar but all personnel I encountered were excellent.

Quick update...tee boxes, fairways, and greens in excellent condition. The course overall is in great shape. And, we played on a Saturday morning in a little over 4 hrs! A first in my many years playing. My only complaint (and the reason for providing another review) is that the bees were awful. There were bees in almost all the sand traps and on many of the greens. They need to spray because they are both annoying and potentially dangerous if people get stung (although, I've been told these kinds of bees don't sting). There were two different types and they both had stingers, so I'm just sayin...

Winds were gusting 35-40 mph...on the green, the ball was pushed by the wind. Course a bit wet (cart path only), and some real uneven fairways and rough. Slow, slow, slow play! Understandable with wind and cart path only, but 5.5 hrs? Snack bar open, and beverage cart came around in afternoon.

Haven't played Diamond Ridge in over a year, but met a friend there because it was centrally located. What a surprise! The course was in excellent shape. Green for as far as you can see! The fairways were remarkably thick and lush (as was the rough, which was a challenge to get out of). The greens were also in great shape without any "spots" in disrepair. I was in only one bunker and it had fine, clean sand which was plenty deep--a joy to play out of (if there can be joy from the sand traps). The snack bar is very nice--as are the staff there--with plenty of options like wraps and fries and other deli sandwiches. My only complaint is it took almost 5 hrs and we had an afternoon tee time...we finished #18 almost in the dark and it was full price. Twilight rate should start earlier if you know customers can't finish because of dusk and slow play. Just a small pet peeve. But, all in all, Diamond Ridge is in the best conditioned I've ever seen it in. Kudos to the Super and grounds crew.

Great course have played there a few times. Greens were just aerated so it was pretty frustrating but overall a great course. Also, much better food than most courses.

The greens are recovering from being aerated probably two weeks ago, and the crew was out punching some of the fairways while we were there. They did give us $3 off because of the aeration, but you might want to give it a week or so. The greens are really bumpy and inconsistent; and the fairways have some dirt patches and chunks of sod removed (noticed it on two holes). The fairways which are not being punched are in decent shape, but the greens and tee boxes are going to be a little while yet to recover fully.

Course is in excellent shape. Greens, fairways, and rough are all cut to good length. Greens are medium fast but true. Staff appears to have "cleaned up their act since localgolfer went out. Starter was friendly and professional and a marshall was evident severall times during round. Early bird special ($34) is a good deal.

Course was in good condition. Rough, fairways, and greens were a little long for the winter season.
$ 39.00 on a winter week day.
I asked the starter where we were in line for the tee box. His answer was, "No where". That seemed funny to him and a few buddies hanging around the starter hut.
We were forced to call the clubhouse when light was beginning to fade and we had waited on every hole. We explained there was a par 5 in front of the 2 groups in front of us wide open. They said someone would be right out. No one ever showed up. We waited on every hole.
5 hours, $39.00 in winter, "good old boy" scheduling.
I can't recommend this golf course. There are plenty other courses in the area that are glad to have your business.

With Tee Time Book, $29 w/cart and the senior rate was $33. Haven't played the course in about 5 years and was surprised--it's in great shape. For November, I was surprised how green the fairways were. They were a tad long, but certainly understandable mid-week. Tee boxes and greens also in great shape. Make sure you hit the fairway, otherwise the rough will punish you. And if you are more errant than the rough, the environmental areas are brutal--you won't find the ball. Couple of holes were a little wet, but nothing distracting. In the cool conditions this morning (45-48 degrees), it made for long holes. A nice layout for a great price.

Diamond Ridge is always a bargain. Greens had recently been aerated, so putting was a little frustrating. Other than that, the course is in excellent condition. Pace of play was great and the snack shop (at the turn) was in mid-season form. Very enjoyable round.

Greens are the slowest I think I've ever putted on. I guess they've had to let the grass grow so they can survive the weather and the heavy play they get here. Still it was like putting on the fairway. I've always thought this course was a good value. It still is, just be prepared for a slow, bumpy experience.

The greens remain long and therefore bumpy, but they have no choice with this heat. Still a great layout

My favorite "home" course for the past 10 years. It can be a little slow at times, and very slow on occasion, it can also be a great golf experience and a definite bargain. It's surprisingly challenging, even after many rounds. There are a few scoring holes, but you better hit it straight, or you'll be losing balls in environmental areas on many holes. The clubhouse is excellent, the staff is just okay, and sometimes the starter needs to do a better job of pushing people a little to keep pace. Most greens have a very good design, but can be a tad slow and have some ball marks. Fairways are usually very good, and traps are good for a public course. There's a 3-hole stretch (11,12,13) that is as challenging as any 3-hole stretch in any "value" public courses. Diamond Ridge (with the Woodlands, on the same property) has a driving range, putting greens, chipping green (w/bunkers), beverage carts, new golf carts, a nice course layout, and a nice price. It can be slow-paced, but it's definitely worth checking out.

This was not one of my finer golf experiences of the summer. This course is definitely having some trouble with their greens. The front nine was good, though fairways and greens were overgrown. The back nine greens looked neglected. There were patches of dirt on almost every green. Also, the grounds crew were working on almost every hole throughout the round. This seemed odd since the tee time was a Sunday morning peak golf time. Two times the grounds crew worker watering the green moved my ball with the hose. Overall, the round took 4 hr and 30 min. We went in and complained at the end of our round and the pro gave my group a 50% off raincheck for my next round. I will definitely be using it at their other course, The Woodlands.

Course is looking very good this year. Traps, rough, and fairways are excellent. Greens were aerated first part of week, but excellent sanding job makes them very usable. Tees wer in the process of being aerated. Pro shop and snack bar staff were friendly, making this a very pleasant experience.

Course was in great shape. Pace was 4.5 hrs for a foursome. This was great considering the course was packed to capacity this Labor Day morning. Rangers kept the pace moving. Course is run very efficiently. Greens will be aerated next weekend September 15th and 16th.

Course is in good shape. $29 twilight rate really makes this a remarkable value play. You're able to use every club in the bag. Pace of play was a little slow, but we tee'd off at 4:10 and were able to get in all 18. Only concern is with the greens --- they are in great shape, but lots of ball marks. Really can't blame the course for that, just wish the golfers would show a little more respect.

Walk, during week $24, course in exceptional conditions (frost warning this morning), while greens aren't fast, they are perfect, true, well covered in "grass". No bare spots, the traps were in great condition, new sand... a real pleasure. Rough about 1 1/2". For a muni, you will rarely find other cities that keep their courses like this. Four hr pace, they are serious about the pace of play, or out you go. Why chase 100 golfers out for a handful of slow customers... they are fair, but it's the only way to go!
