My favorite "home" course for the past 10 years. It can be a little slow at times, and very slow on occasion, it can also be a great golf experience and a definite bargain. It's surprisingly challenging, even after many rounds. There are a few scoring holes, but you better hit it straight, or you'll be losing balls in environmental areas on many holes. The clubhouse is excellent, the staff is just okay, and sometimes the starter needs to do a better job of pushing people a little to keep pace. Most greens have a very good design, but can be a tad slow and have some ball marks. Fairways are usually very good, and traps are good for a public course. There's a 3-hole stretch (11,12,13) that is as challenging as any 3-hole stretch in any "value" public courses. Diamond Ridge (with the Woodlands, on the same property) has a driving range, putting greens, chipping green (w/bunkers), beverage carts, new golf carts, a nice course layout, and a nice price. It can be slow-paced, but it's definitely worth checking out.
