Never played this course, and played it this morning in the rain. Not a bad track...not very challenging, but some nicely shaped holes. No water or other hazards to negotiate, but some strategically placed bunkers. Greens were in decent shape, although very slow (some of that could have been the heavy rain). The fairways had a few brown patches, but drained fairly well for the most part. The rough was long with inconsistent grasses so could really grab the club. The Pro Shop staff was very friendly and welcoming, but one of the marshalls must have been having a bad morning--nasty. I'll try the course again when it's better weather.

Fairways still have some bare spots and there are still a lot of fallen leaves around. Greens are looking good but traps need some work. Snack bar is excellent but pro shop was closed (greens fees taken at the snack bar). Price is good with the Baltimore City Players Card

Fairways and greens hove some potential trouble spots that may surface once the ground defrosts. Staff is friendly and helpful and a fully functional snack bar is available. Excellent winter rates.

This is my first time back since clubhouse was remodeled and it is very well done. Greens are in good shape but traps are a little heavy. Fairways and roughs are good but roughs are a little long in spotty areas. Price is right until the end of May, $22 if you tee off before 7:00 AM. Snack bar is excellent.

played 9 Saturday afternoon....was in ok conditions...but would love to know what happened to greens. The aeration job was terrible, they chewed up the greens with quarter sized divots all over...plus tons of drag marks. A shame cuz this course is always in great shape for a muni.

For $35 on a Saturday morning Forest Park may be the biggest bargain in town. They built a brand new club house which is able to support outings and parties. The snack bar is great, I got a bacon egg and cheese which hit the spot after a slight hangover from the night before. Another change for Forest Park is they swapped the front 9 with the back 9, which I thought worked out pretty well since it brought you back to club house after 9. Evidently they got a ton of complaints and are switching it back to the original way on Wednesday. As far as the condition the greens were slow but in excellent shape, the tee boxes and fairways were well manicured and the rough was in ok shape. Overall, a 5 hour round on a beautiful Saturday day was a lot of fun.

I don't agree it's a good idea to switch around the 9's just to justify their decision to build a new clubhouse (where we golfers spend about 10 minutes max). They had to raise greens fees, the food and drink prices have doubled, the new layout does not at all take into account that some people prefer to walk the course. To tee off now, you have to walk 450 yards down a steep hill, around the former 18th green and wait in the sun on the side of a slope. You can't browse merchandise, buy a drink, use the bathroom, practice putting, etc. After 9 holes walk up that same hill to tee off at the 10th and then up the hill yet again after 18. It took well over 5 hours to play with the new layout - this has happened twice. Other than the 2-inch grass on the tee boxes, the course is in OK shape.

Great new club house, if you are into that sort of thing. They have made the more foregiving back 9 the front 9, so you have go back up to the club house for # 10. (Smart move). Some narrow fairways and side hill lies can cause fits, but it is an enjoyable course, that can help build your confidence.

T boxes were really bad,you had to use a mallet to drive your golf t into the ground.Best of all were the used golf ball sellers on 10 and 11 this course can really make a comeback if properly maintained but for now fees should be cut 25% untill all new construction is finished

What a disgusting course. Easily the worst shape this course has ever been in. The clubhouse is being remodeled, so it is being temporarily held in trailers around the parking lot. The hole 7 tee boxes are under extreme repair. You must hit off of mats. Also, every hole had white spray-painted areas the size of 18-wheelers where you were not allowed to hit your ball. Not to mention, the neighbors around the course kept running onto the fairways to steal our balls. Other than all of this, well worth the 29 dollars a round.

$29 dollars was a great deal, but if you do not get off early, you will get stuck behind some hackers that have no clue how to let people play through. Course was in great condition.

A great bargain! The course is great for hackers like myself because it allows you to easily recover after a bad t-shot. The snack bar after the 12th hole has good inexpensive food and the staff and pro shop provided any other necessities. The cheap price and forgiving course layout outweighed the slow play on a busy Sunday.

Forest Park has definitely seen better conditions. I know it hasn't rained in a while, but the amount dead grass and dirt piles was pretty disappointing. However, for $26 you can't expect it to be perfect. Other than that expect slow play on the weekends: 5 hours+. Food is good both at the clubhouse and the turn.

Listen i do not make millions of dollars and cannot afford to pay $60 + for golf weekly, so the Baltimore City Course are great. Usually play clifton, but they are upgrading some tees, so deceided to play here. Overall great course, pace a little slow but what course in this area does not have slow play. You cannot beat the $26 price.

Forest Park is one on my favorite courses. The lush greens and fresh sand never disappoints. All of the carts are loaded with GPS which really helps to gauge distance.
