The mount is in need of a major makeover, pulling into the parking lot brought back memories of Worthington Valley, clubhouse and starter shack are dilapidated. The only positive thing I can say is that the greens were mostly in great shape, tees, fairways and roughs are in terrible shape,I won't be back for a while, not a favorite of mine to begin with

Fairways are awful! Huge area totally burned out. Greens are painfully slow and bumpy. NOT WORTH IT!

Back to the mount after a couple years, course is in relatively good shape, a few burned out spots in the fairways and roughs but overall pretty good shape. I was most impressed with the marshalls, we had a slow group in front of us and as soon as they fell behind, the marshalls were right on them and they did speed up. some of the other courses in the area should pay attention to how they manage their course....While we're Young...

Nicest greens we have played so far this year. Traps were also excellent. Fairways were good. Agree with last review about drainage issues. They have a lot of spots in the rough outlined in white as ground under repair. Saw one guy out laying sod in one area so hopefully they get to more of them. So of the teeboxes are uneven & could use some work. Have not played here in a while, it was fun returning. Price is little high ,
$42 weekday without the card

Course is in very good condition, in spite of the recent precipitation we have experienced. Greens are excellent and traps have new sand in them (although there are no rakes out at this time). Fairways are excellent but the rough and tees have a lot of long term erosion in many places. Course drained exceptionally well as there was only a cople of spots with standing water. Traps were totally free of standing water. Staff was excellent also with a good snack bar.

The overall conditions may be the worst I have seen in a long time here. Don't get me wrong most of the fairways and greens were just OK. The rough looks like they are getting ready for a US Open, very high and thick in many spots. Plus on #4 the garden they are growing behind the green is screened off now so if you hit your ball just a tad long forget about it. I'm not going to totally bash the place because I was off on this day but with that being said 20+ hcp players are going to have a hard time here and trust me on this day I felt like one myself.

This is a very tough and demanding course from the 1st hole that is a par 4 but could be a par 5 to the last hole. The staff is great and very helpful. Unfortunately the course has some serious problems. To be fair the course sees a lot of play and it is situated just inside Baltimore city so it sees a lot of traffic across the course. Even so there is no excuse for the state of the greens. No one seems to fix ball marks and I don't think the greens have been rolled in a few years. The fairways show a lot of divots that don't get fixed. While this can be forgiven knowing how much play they get it would be nice if the course were in better shape.

State of play is very slow due to the amount of play the course gets. We tee'd off at 10 am and din't finish the 18th hole until 3:30pm. Even though the course could be better taken care of you will be hard pressed to find a more challenging golf course for the money spent. I'll be back.

I play a lot of different courses some in the $125-$150 range. I personally did not think this course was in as bad of shape as the last review and trust me I'm not afraid to bash a course. So when you play a course so close to the city at such a low cost you need to expect slow play.

I live near here but rarely play, and I remembered why when I played twilight last weekend for the first time in years. My friend and I started at 5 PM, three holes behind the two people in front of us, and caught up to them. I am no pro either I shoot in the low 90s. I think part of the problem is how much play the course gets, by very disrespectful people. I found so many ball marks on the greens that no one fixes. The fairways were tore up too. It's mainly due to the area I suppose. Overall for the money I would say avoid this course, they don't maintain it anymore.

I remember playing this course some years ago in the Amatuer. Well I don't know what has happened in the last few years, but this place is horrible. The greens are bumpy and slow, the fairways are patchy (can't play the ball down). If you have to leave the fairway with the golf cart, you could lose teeth as the ruts in the rough are like canyons.I'm trying to go thru the holes, but there are too many problems. Bottom line: Till up ALL the rough right and left of every par 4 and par 5 and regrade and seed. This course used to be a "gem" now it's better fitted to 4 wheelers ! Go to Rocky Point if you want to see a golf course that takes care of it's course and it's customers.

Stay away. Mostly dirt and brown grass. I know we haven't gotten rain in a while, but really, the fairways would catch fire if you walked too fast on them. Greens were ok at best, which isn't saying much. If you drive the carts off the cartpath, it is like riding over railroad tracks. Try Diamond Ridge, WAY better course for the same price.

I had read prior reviews that the fairways were tight & hard to play. I'm a 115-120 golfer and found them very playable. The greens were in very good condition and the staff/field marshals, snack bar attendant were all extremely friendly. I would definitely play there again.

Over five hours to play 18 holes? Ridiculous! Management does NOTHING to maintain pace of play; marshals are on their own. I won't return.

It's been about two years since I played this course and the conditions have improved significantly. Greens and traps are in great shape even though there are quite a few ball marks on some greens. Tees, fairways, and rough are the best I've seen in several weeks. Course still gets heavy play and may be slow during peak hours. Good lunch counter for breakfast or lunch, plus and lunch shed at the turn.

For this early in the season the course is in great shape, however, the pin placements were crazy hard. Especially the par 3's. 3 of our foursome 4 putted both of them and we all shot mid 80's. With the rolling fairways and many uneven lies, Mt. Pleasant is a real challenge.

I would agree that the fairways are in decent condition for the most part. But just off the fairway (come on, few of us hit the fairway all the time...) anyplace where there is even a slight grade there are dirt patches and rutted areas from electric cart damage. They seem to be trying to fix this problem over time by installing more cart paths - the bane of golfers. The teeboxes need improvement also - they are out of keeping with a course of this quality. The greens were fine. Took 5 hours 10 minutes to finish. Every now and then the marshals get diligent about maintaining good pace of play but then they slack off again.

Mount Pleasant was in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens were all green and lush. Mount Pleasant has been Ranked 12th Best Municipal Golf Course
in the United States by Golfweek Magazine. This is not the old Mt. Pleasant. Very nice, I will go back.

I was very surprised at how enjoyable an experience I had. The course was beautiful, greens and fairways, despite a huge downpour yesterday. The greens played a little slow, but I'm sure they're much faster when they've been dry for a couple days. Dont know the yardage, but seemed short. Tons of birdie opportunities - which I missed. Overall, it was an excellent experience, I was very pleased.

Course looked in good shape for Mount Pleasant. They have greens under "renovation" not repair. They had a temp green on one and the others to follow. I think the place will be in really good shape for the spring but call ahead and ask the deal because even witrh the repairs they charged full price.

One of the best bargains in town. The course was in very average condition. The greens were aerated last week and still need another week or two to recover. Mt. Pleasant has a very friendly staff, I would recommend the cheeseburger at the turn.

I know its a city course, but I did expect a little more, especially after hearing their Arnold Palmer commercials. I found the lack of yard markers frustrating, as well as the four side by side fairways (I was always playing from the fairway next store and so were others), so we continually criss-crossing. That's my bad golf, but it seemed like I was always in someone else's way and they were in mine. Despite all, the staff is very nice.

It's been at least 5 years since the superintendents got it right here, but apparently the new Super Bob Boyer, has his team doing it correctly. I played "The Mount" the same day they were "punching" the greens and they were cut, rolled and aerated. These greens were fast!! Give it two more weeks to fill in and Then, DON"T GET ABOVE the Hole! Uneven lies and fast greens, very challenging and @ $28 bucks, what a deal!!

$22---You can't beat that today. This golf course is a classic layout and provides risk reward shots for the longer hitter all day long. A historic place to play in Baltimore that is better than people give it credit for. Pace of play can become an issue but if you can deal with that, go out there an enjoy this shot makers paradise.

For the price of this course, I don't know how you can beat it. The course was in very average condition, but I played during an extremely dry time. Staff is friendly, concessions are good, course can be quite challenging w/ opening par fives on both holes 1 and 10. This is not the place to miss your t-time. They won't hesitate to skip you. It's way too busy of a course.
