Before I start my review. A close friend wanted to play on Fathers Day with his Dad and invited me along, and we did realize it could be a slow round.
Cost: Weekend Rate: $65.00
Greens: Not the best conditions, but it was good enough for 3 stars
Fairways: Several Holes, the Fairways had either water damage, and dirt spots
Bunkers: Dirt
Beverage Cart: Very friendly person, however all she had was drinks and snacks. Correction, a few bags of crackers and chips.

Overall: When we checked in for our Tee Time, the Pro Shop told us to speak to the starter who would get us out. We did, several times, since he would ask - Who are you and what time is your Tee Time? Anyway, we were playing behind a threesome, who believed they were at the US Open and decided to hit from the Tips. Issue: They were spraying the ball all over the place and on every shot looking for loss balls. Regardless, it was a slow round. When we made the turn, the threesome were upset two guys appeared in front of them. Apparently, they claim starter sent them on the back, since the front was stacked. Please note: When heading to the 10th Tee, a huge sign is posted saying, If you are not making the turn, DO NOT TEE OFF ON THE BACK. We did see a Marshall, riding around, but it looked like he was talking to his friends or under a tree for shade.

This place is not worth the aggrevation.

Headed out to the Quicken Loans at RTG, and wife and I made a weekend out of by playing a round here on Saturday morning. After reading the reviews, I was relieved to see that the course held up to the reviews it had received. Course was in great shape, and greens were fair and well maintained. For the money this is a course that I would certainly play again while in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful, Much like other reviews there were only 2 things that I had any "issue" with were the following:
1. Water. There is little to no water available on the course unless you want to buy it from the beverage cart. At 2.00 a pop in 90+ degree heat, it gets pricey to stay hydrated
2. Par 5's. Played from the gold tees, and still never hit more than 3 iron off the tee due to having to land in a spot. Longer holes took the driver out of your hand, and gave you no chance to try and get there in 2
Other than those 2 small things, course was a great play, and will be revisited.

I've reviewed this course many times, and it's still great. We were curious as to why the greens had sand on them, which made putting more challenging since it was also a bit wet, when there was no sign of any aeration activity. Your reward for reading this review is that Bristow is charging $21.25 on Tuesdays to play all day. I'm not sure for how long. Needless to say, the course was very busy.

Staff and crew were excellent, and do an excellent job to keep this course in good shape. Quite early in the season and knowing of the Northern Virginia weather, Bristow Manor was in great shape, and gets you the most quality of Golf for your money this time of the year specifically. The Range has grass tees this early. The tees are all set early. They have a putting green right next to the first hole for a last-second warm-up while waiting for the group ahead of you. If you play during the week, its only 50 bucks for 18 and a cart. The shop has pretty much anything you want, stogies, shoes, laces, balls, etc. I would like to have seen more of a variation of companies supplying equipment. It seems a little Bridgestone focused with a selection of typical ProV's and mid-line Nike balls. The rain takes a while to dry off the course, so plan ahead. This is my favorite course in the area, and I would be playing it more often considering the far proximity and the prices of gas.

My senior golf association has sadly taken Bristow Manor off of our season schedule. So, my foursome made one of our planned roadtrips to Bristow today and were not disappointed. No frost delay because the wind was up all night, and once it got a bit warmer, the day was just right. By me, this continues to be one of the better and more reasonably priced courses in Northern Virginia.

The back 9 was a great experience. The front 9 still very nice but not as impressive as the back. Overall very impressed with the layout and course design. #18 is a great finishing hole. Will play here again.

Since I've written a number of reviews of this great course, just to reconfirm that it's in the fine shape that it is always in. Gas and golf index from Arlington was $38.

Had not played the course in about 2 years, but found the course to be in great shape even though it had poored the night before. The cost was $69 on a weekend which is fair for this course. The marshalls made sure the pace was kept without bothering the golfers and the lady in the clubhouse was awesome. You should check online for some weekday rates that seemed like a great deal!

Bristow was in its usual excellent shape with fairways that stood the ball up just right and greens that were fast and true. Obviously, the lack of rain has affected the rough, but no big deal. Gas and golf index mid-week from Arlington was $37. I think I'm the only TLG person who plays this course?!?!?!

I haven't played a course this well maintained since I played pebble beach in 2006. This place rocks! The green are quick and true. Bristow is my new favorite place to play. Don't be fooled by the price it is super low for a course of this magnitude.

Despite all the rain we've had(we'll all eventually be glad for it), we were anticipating a soggy day of golf. But, in addition to being a great course, Bristow drains very well. Sure, there were soggy spots here and there, but the fairways were in great shape, and the greens were in excellent shape for this early in the year. Gas and golf index carpooling from Arlington was $40(senior rate!).

Another great round at a great course in great condition. The greens have never been truer, once we adjusted to the fact that they were rather quick. The zoysia(not bermuda like I wrote last time) fairways create an almost perfect lie, and the rough was lush in most places and not too penal. Gas and golf index carpooling from Arlington was $39.

Bristow Manor is the best conditioned course in Northern Virginia that we have played this year. Every part of the course was in great shape, and our shots sat up perfectly on the Bermuda fairways. This place is definitely worth the drive.

Folks in the pro shop are great. Greens are in excellent condition. There are few fairways that are a little muddy, but for the majority, the course is in awesome/challenging condition.

First time out to the course and I was really impressed. I caught the twilight rate - $15 for 9 holes, and I could have gotten a couple more in if I wanted to. The fairways are light & fluffy, and greens are slick & fast; really took the breaks out of most putts. Layout of the course presents lots of fun and challenging shots. #7 hole (#1 handicap) is a dogleg left that has a river that runs parallel to the fairway, and then you have to clear a ravine to make it to the green!. Overall, lots of fun, and I can't wait to get back soon.

Great staff. Nice track. 25.00 w/t-time pass (jul/aug). Otherwise good rates. Fairways do well in heat. Rough a little brown w/no rain. Play there often and really enjoy. Grrens are fast and nice, almost perfect :) Play once and you will return.
