Don't play unless you go with somebody who's been there before. It's nothing to do with course management, but knowing the local customs and rules such as the strange check in system (poker chips?) and the drop line separating a green and tee box that are a little too close together. The staff and some locals were very rude to this first timer that didn't know these rules.
The course itself is OK except for the power lines running directly over 1/3 of the holes. It's short, open, and as well conditioned as you could expect from a heavily trafficked executive muni. Overall, I think Pinecrest is a better course though if you're looking for a quick confidence builder inside the beltway.
Good value though, especially if you're able to get out for their $10 summer afternoons.
