Course is in great shape for the weather this summer. Played the day after heavy rains so we were restricted to cart path only and there wasn't much fairway roll. Traps were wet but well drained. Good snack bar but menu has all full dinners. You have to ask for sandwiches or hot dogs. A little expensive for the area, but is worth it because of the condition of the course.

Short course that forces you to use a ton of different clubs off the tee. Driving range is being rebuilt to accommodate driver and long irons. Right now they have no range. Always a great course, always in great condition, and always play a quick round. Good course, a little on the pricey side though.

This is a good course and it is in great shape, but it is severely overpriced ($71.50 for a weekday morning), particularly since they were rebuilding a large sand trap in front of a par 3 hole the day that I played. They had a snack cart on a weekday morning and it made several passbys, but no inside snack bar. Rough was lush and full and greens and fairways were great. Traps had nice playable sand except for the one that was being rebuilt.

The course was a great as I remember it. Had not played it in about 5 years but returned to find the course in great shape. The morning we played there was a greens fee sale so it made the round even better.

Evidently the course has fallen on hard times also. I was surprised to get a special deal, but had to pay for range balls this time. In the past they were part of the price. It has always been tough getting a tee time on this course as they save time for the soon to be private club members.... This time though we were able to get a time around 8:00 a.m. which actually is a little late for us. The starters are always friendly but the clubhouse needs a new staff.

Right now, the course is in great conditions. The greens are actually rolling the speed they should. In the past they have been extremely slow. The only issue I have with the course is that every time I play the course somehow they charge me more than what they tell me on the phone. Since the course is trying to switch to 100% private, the course is losing some of the public details.

The course was in great shape. The downfall to this course was if you didnt drive it straight, you were in trouble. There is no first cut of rough so hit the ball in the fairway. The rough is some of the thickiest I have ever played in. Its not unmanagable but you can really attack the course from the fairway!!

South River is still open to the public for now, but beware most likely next season the course will be solely private. Course is in very good shape, with greens, fairways and tee boxes in very good condition.

The course is in great condition a fun track. Customer services is great, greens are true...I had an Atlantic Golf card and got a discount....would not been happy if I had to pay the full fee. Take a lot of balls if you don't feel comfortable hitting over natural hazards, there are enough of them to drive you mad...
