This course is in fabulous shape. From tees to greens, the course is manicured, lush, and beautiful. I noticed the huge tree on the #2 par 5 is gone--don't know how long it's been down, but it was a surprise not to have that as my target for my tee shot. Beside that one personal item, the fairways were in beautiful shape, as were the greens...and fast. The only thing I could even complain about (and not very much) were the bunkers--it had evidently rained quite a bit overnight and they were soggy. And, the nats were a bit brutal today. This is a really nice links course. From the clubhouse, you can see across the terraced holes and it is beautiful. We pretty much had the course to ourselves on a Monday at noon. It started off with cart path only, but that changed around #5, so it was a bit easier to locate balls. This course, even though some generous fairways, will test your ability to place your shots. And, most holes play longer (except for #16), so factor in the elevation changes up to the greens--it can add another club. This is a tremendous course. For Seniors it's $49 and military have a 40% discount, and with the Tee Time book you can get $20 off the $79 rack rate. It's definitely worth a try if you've never played it...and certainly worth repeating if you have. The staff is friendly, and the restaurant has great food very reasonably price. Tip: Call in your order on the turn as they don't have food ready. My hat is off to the Superintendent for keeping this course in excellent shape!
