| This course is coming back into shape. The greens are kept soggy all summer with many holes half full of water in the midst of the worst droughts, but in the spring and fall, the greens are firmer and faster and the course becomes more entertaining. Its a nice layout to try out if you haven't. |

| The course isn't in great shape. As usual, the greens are very wet and shaggy for the most part. There are areas of dead grass in the fairways and on the greens. Still a lower cost than some of the nicer courses around. |

| Recently aerated and greens are squishy. Fairway grass is about 1.5 inches long. Its still a little better than it usually is this time of year I think. |

| Course is in fairly good shape and well drained. Traps are in excellent shape and very playable. Tees are a little hard for the amount of rain we've had. If you haven't played the course before the back nine is considerably more difficult than the front nine. |

| I don't think that the course is being kept up as well as it has in the past several years. The tees needed to be mowed, and the bunkers needed to be raked. As often is the case, the fairways and greens were so wet, some greens would squish as you walked across them. |

| We played the back 9 only. The course is in ok shape. The tee boxes could have used a mowing, but they were green. As usual, the greens were quite soft. Its a good course for moderate cost. |

| Course was okay for being early March. Greens were very unpredictable, and the course was a bit wet. Great opening course to play your first round of the year on, for a great price! The course was very crowded, however the pace was unexpectedly very good. |

| I was surprised to pay $40 to walk in February at this course. The 15th green had ice covering the back half of the green and standing water around the hole, and the 4th pin was iced into the hole so you couldn't get it out. Lots of other holes were iced, so the pins didn't sit into them. The greens are brown and the fairways were a mixture of grass, mud, and casual water. Bunkers were not raked and the pin positions were the same ones from January 4th. I'll porbably try to play at a different course if I can get out again before April. |

| I did not find course in as bad of shape as previous writeups indicated. Greens and traps were in good condition. Fairways were OK with a minimal amount of crabgrass on several fairways. Tees were being reseeded so they were essentially mud, but golfers were warned of this at check in. There was a lot of standing water on course due to heavy rain yesterday afternoon. Staff was friendly and helpful. |

| I paid over $50 to play Saturday morning, 9/20/08, and I'm quite mad about it. The majority of tee boxes are mud, and I'm not exaggerating. The fairways are a patchwork of all kinds of stuff. What the heck happened? They should not be charging full price. Go to Compass Pointe instead, it's in good shape. |

| This is the worst I've seen Ike in the 4+ years I've played it as my "home" course. The last month of dry weather and probably the shake up due to the loss of staff (county immigration bust) were too much for it, I suspect. There is a lot of crabgrass and dirt spots on the tees and even on the greens. Fairways are a mixture of crabgrass and turf. |

| We walked at the twilight rate of $21. Current conditions are good. Greens are good, fairways good, and the rough is as good as it gets at this course. Bunkers as usual are not perfect, but they are in fair shape. We played 12 holes, but could have played all 18 before dark if we didn't have other commitments. I consider this my home course. It is relatively inexpensive and its generally in good shape. The tee boxes are usually not in the best shape (shaggy early and late and very hard and on some holes very little grass in the middle of the season). The fairways are in very good shape for most of the year, but when it gets really dry toward the end of the summer they get some crabgrass. The greens are in good shape most of the time. The course sees a lot of traffic, and there are a good number of high handicappers, so play can get slow at popular hours of play, and there are a fair number of ball marks on the green and unraked bunkers oftentimes. Low-lying areas are waterlogged in the spring and after heavy rains. Still, I like the course and I think it is a good value. |

| Beautiful course in Anne Arundel county. The greens were in outstanding condition, not one blemish on any of the 18 holes. Open fairways are very forgiving to imperfect tee shots. Would defintely play again! |

This is my favorite course in the Annapolis area, but it is in relatively rough shape right now. The fairways are looking good, and a lot of the greens are ok, but there are a lot with patches of dirt too. They were aerated several weeks ago, and the aeration holes are growing in, but make for a rough surface. The greens are a bit faster than they have been most of the summer, but still slower and softer than other more expensive courses in the area (South River, Renditions). The tees have lots of weeds and dirt and some are so hard, you can't find a place to put your tee in without breaking it.
In general I recommend this course. It has a good setup, is walkable, and fair. The fairways are wide and more forgivable than courses found in developments. There are a lot of woods, but there are also a lot of areas that you can play out of them, which allows for some errant tee shots.
There is little if any ranger managing pace of play on most days, especially during the week, and the rounds can get in the 4.5-5 hour range especially in the afternoon. The staff is generally nice, but one starter is always a bit gruff. The cart vendor is available most days and there is a decent snack shop for snacks and hot items. They will often set up a grill outside on the weekends and for outings. |
