If you want to know where your game is at, Shoregate would be the place to find out. It is a very challenging course and can be intimidating at times when while standing on some of the tees and all you can see are sandy areas, mounds, and a narrow strip of fairway. But, you’re going to see that at most shore golf courses anyway…it is the shore after all. Play from the tee box that fits your skill level and you’ll find it to be a very fair course and you’ll have an enjoyable round of golf. Entire staff was friendly as can be…from check in, to starter, to ranger. Actually we got backed up a little by the 5th hole and ranger cleared up congestion and explained to us what had happened and pace of play was excellent for rest of round. Saw hospitality cart several times during round. The green fees were a little high, but, they are adjusted throughout season. They were at peak for us because it is peak vacation time. We played after 11am and price was $85, which we felt was fair. All in all…..big thumbs up to Shoregate!
