This is my third time playing Lighthouse and I can't say enough about this course. The scenery is breathtaking, the conditions are excellent, and the staff is first rate. If you haven't played at Lighthouse, treat yourself, it will be well worth it. Grass ranges with balls included in your fee is a nice touch. If you are down at the beach, this is the course you want to play.

Hard to complain about much since we only paid $30 but lets get something straight this is no longer a course that should charge $130 in prime time. About 2 years ago I noticed the greens were getting bad and they started spraying the green fertilizer to hide the bad spots then the greens were more fertilizer then grass. Last year it was a little better but not much. Today it looked worse than ever plus they aerated and never mentioned that. The course would be ok if they replaced a few greens at a time but they are so hard up for business they can't afford to shut it down. Anyway too many better options in the area then to dump your money here, not hurting them since I think the same company owns some of the others. Play Bear Trap, Baywood, Bayside, or Glen Riddle they are much better options RIGHT NOW.

My friends and I always make it a point to play Lighthouse whenever we are in OC for our summer vacations, and I won't go back!!!

We were planning on playing Bear Trap Dunes on Monday, Sept. 3rd, but the course closed when a thunderstorm came through.

The VERY FIRST course I thought of playing after we left Bear Trap was Lighthouse. When we arrived at Lighthouse, I heard one of the starters say, "yeah, these two guys are dressed like golfers," meaning my friend and I, and assuming we were going to keep them there longer than they wanted to be when the sun was shining in the later afternoon. The golf shop staff were professional, as always...and VERY courteous! The men and women in your pro-shop have always been the BEST when it comes to customer service!!!

The starters, however, had MAJOR attitude with us showing up at 4pm for playing golf, even after I tipped one guy $5 for doing nothing. I asked if we could please squeeze 12 holes and he didn't respond, just gave me a "look." We were even 26 minutes ahead of schedule according to our cart's GPS after 9 holes.

If your starters don't want to be there when dusk comes at a golf course, find another job!!! I've worked at golf courses and you shouldn't have attitude when you are there late, that's the nature of the business. If the golf course didn't want us out there, and we were such a hassle to everyone, why didn't anyone say anything to us before we started??? We would have putted or just hit the driving range.

When we finished 11 holes because of darkness, we played 18 on the way in. When we drove all the way back and came down 18 and the starter came out and said, "what is wrong with you two, you don't look like guys that would do this??!!" "You kept us here too late," yelling at us at the top of his lungs. I didn't get his name but he was an older guy with glasses and dark hair. He rushed us off the golf course and we just picked up our balls. I told him to "smile, it was a holiday."

On top of all this, the greens were the worst I have ever seen at Lighthouse and don't look like they have been kept up lately.

I think the older guys starting need some lessons in customer service...I've never seen any staff member at Lighthouse have attitude the way they did!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PLAY THERE!!!

This course is unique in the area because of the physical characteristics - waterfront holes, marsh and tree-lined holes, phenomenal scenery, a pristine wilderness setting. Conditions are admittedly not what they used to be. Greens are still nearly perfect but the course is suffering a bit from lots of play by golfers who aren't attentive to filling divots and repairing ball marks. Other than that the course conditions are excellent.

This isn't a $150 course (few are) but it's certainly worth $69 at 3pm and a bit more earlier in the day. Lighthouse Sound's sister course, Rum Pointe, is in better shape and significantly less expensive, but even Rum Pointe's superb waterfront setting and layout is less impressive than that of Lighthouse Sound.

Be prepared for some windy conditions on the bayside holes. To the course designer's credit the holes that play mostly into the wind are also the shortest, the par-4 #1 and #8 are both around 300 yds. The back nine is tree-lined and more sheltered from the bay breezes. Still a must-play at OC.

This course has remarkable views throughout the course and is always in excellent condition. My only drawback was cost and the overcast skys. Of course they can not control our group being unlucky on weather but again I enjoyed playing Lighthouse Sound.

Last year this course was in the worst shape I have ever seen it in, and I have played here many times for the years. I did not come on here and blast them because I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Last year like many course that are losing it they resorted to spraying that nasty bright green fertilizer to hide the bareness. This course is a $50-60 course at best and if you pay a dollar more and that is at prime time your getting ripped off. There are at least 10 other courses I would play before here in the area. Rum, Glen Riddle, Bayside, Heritage, Bear Trap, Baywood just to name a few. I hope someone from Lighthouse reads this and takes it serious. I plan to warn the hundreds of guys I know who come to the shore and play to avoid this course. It is a disgrace courses with "reputations" can still make money off unknowing golfers.

Other than the 40 MPH Wind Gusts, the Golf Course is in great shape for this early in the Spring. Green's showed little signs of aeration and were in great shape. Rough's were thick in some spots and thin in others. Bring plenty of cash for the 8$ Jack and Coke's. I believe Bayside is the nicest in the O.C./ Delaware Area with Lighthouse Sound in the top 5.

Year after year this is one of they best places to play. If you think it cost too much your wrong. This place is worth every penny. Everything about Lighthouse is first class. I think after 4 you can play for like $60 or somthing.

My problem with this course is the cost, particularly this year when so many courses have been in excellent condition due to the extensive rains. The greens are showing some effects of ball marks and the fairways are showing some divot damage. the course setting is spectacular, but for golf, there are a lot of courses out there that give you more bang for the buck.

This course is the most advanced course I have played on. There were built in GPS systems in the golf carts and you could also order lunch from them. The course staff was friendly and made it overall the best course I have played on.

What a course! The conditions, the play, the views, the staff --- everything is top notch. With exception to the amount of mosquitoes around the course, Lighthouse Sound is in perfect condition. We were one of the early tee times Monday morning and finished in 3 and 1/2 hours! They also have a hole-in-one fundraiser --- $10 which entitles you to a shot at the grand prize, or a free drink in the clubhouse (if you're like me and didn't even come close to hitting the green). This course never disappoints and is a must play when you're down by the ocean Hon.

Made it to Lighthouse for my annual round and the course did not disappoint (IT NEVER DOES!). If this isn't the #1 course in the State and NE Region, then I don't know what is. The conditions, the views . . . the beer in the clubhouse; EVERYTHING is top quality. The staff was great and the Starter made sure to put a smile on my face (even after tanking my tee shot off #1). Definitely a MUST PLAY if you're in the area, or just worth the ride for a great round of golf. Can't wait to get back again next year!

Once again this course showed why it is one of the top five in the state. Very good conditions, the pace was smooth, the staff was very friendly as always. When you are on vacation this is how a round of golf should be.

$65 dollars after 3pm is a steal for this course. Tee boxes and fairways were perfect. Greens were a little beat up. A lot of ball marks and cleat marks. Overall a beautiful course

PERFECT condition, I mean PERFECT! I could not find one thing wrong with any hole. The greens are very fast, the wind played in my favor with a nice breeze coming off the bay. The staff is always very friendly and the pro shop had a ton of nice things on sale including Under Armor. I played at 3:03 right when the rates are down for $65 so it was a bargin but even if I did pay the $145 it would have still been worth it.

Having never played golf in Ocean City before, this course made it hard to believe I was still in Maryland. The course was in perfect condition. I think the climate may have changed at least 5 or 6 times. I played in sweltering heat, terrential downpour, suuny skies, and cloudy 30mph winds. You truly never know what youre gonna get when you play a round at this course. Playing from the gold (which is equivalent to playing from the blue) is a must at this course. All in all an amzing round. Staff was friendly. My only gripe was that the course was cartpath only due to the lack of recent rainfall.

This course is one of the prettiest course in the state. The views are breathtaking and course is absolutly immaculate. From the tee boxes to the greens, everything is perfect. The staff there are very friendly and very helpful and the clubhouse has an extremely nice lockerroom. It's a bit pricey but definitely worth it. In the summer months they offer a special deal with a couple other courses in the area. You won't find a nicer course with a deal like that.
