UPDATE: Played on Tuesday and the course is in EXCELLENT shape! With surrounding courses (PA and MD), a lot of them have not survived the August/September heat. The Bridges, though, has. Great shape...the best I've seen and played on during the Summer. Additionally, pace of play was great. It was slow starting, but by #4, everyone had spread out and we were done in 4 hours. Great course, and very friendly staff. 5 Stars!!!

As with my previous review, this course is in pristine shape! Every part of the course is green and lush--tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Even the rough is in superb shape. I really like this course and it's worth the 1 hr 20 min drive from the Baltimore area. The staff is friendly, they have a great grille on site, and the course is always in excellent condition. The only reason for the 4 rating vs. 5 is because play was slow, slow, slow. It was almost "glacial" as a member of my threesome said. We jumped the people in front of us on the turn and it did pick up a little, but no marshals so we were pretty much on our own. With the wind, the long rough, and an overbooked tee sheet, it's a tough course for inexperienced golfers on a stacked up Saturday. However, I will definitely go again...maybe just on a weekday next time.

Visited for their tiki bar happy hour with some friends and noticed the dead greens. Talked to a few golfers that described many dead greens and approach areas.
I believe another area course has a similar problem.
I'm sure they will get this cleared up eventually. When they do, you all should come out and support the course it is normally well maintained.
Pray for a speedy recovery.

Course is in great shape. A little extra grass clippings here and there from the wet weather. Other than that, a must play.

I've seen the reviews about the March Tournament, but I have to say this course is excellent shape...almost pristine! It is lush and green--fairways in excellent condition, as are the tee boxes, and greens. Greens have some slope (but they always do), so better to bounce the ball in front and let it roll up. Bunkers had excellent sand and nice to hit out of. All ponds are full so riding over the bridges adds a nice touch. We played in 4 hrs on a Saturday morning--and they actually put us out about 30 mins early. Nice staff...accommodating. I love the layout of this course, and it's in the best condition I've ever seen. Great value at $51.

This review would be typical for winter conditions golf.
I will add the greens were pretty nice for dormant winter conditions. I usually have a good experience here.
However, I was asked to the first annual St. Patrick's day " grab the golfers green" course tournament. It was about 33 degrees.
$60.00 dollars per person (normal approx. $30.00). For that we got a round of golf and hamburger or chicken and baked beans.
I expected coolers of refreshments on the course. A few little gifts left for us in the carts (a hat, golf balls, tees, ball marker, anything). I was wrong. We got a la carte, pay as you go water. beer, Gatorade, and frozen hotdogs.,
Instead of awarding a winner for the day, they combined the previous days tournament to award winners from combined 230 golfers over two days. What......
Tournaments are typically a 5 and a half hour amateur day but, can be fun if done right. This was not.
We were all curious about being ripped off and wondered if it was for charity or something? No. It was a course sponsoring the outing for the course itself.
The worst tournament I have attended. And would have just let it pass if they would have provided us a pack of neon yellow Wilson X-outs or a bag of tees.
To be fair. As they closed out the afternoon by saying that "it was a huge success" there is a keg of draft beer outside on the deck. Thanks for nothing.

They called it the Bridges because they built little "covered bridges" for cart drivers and elevated cart paths over the wetlands. Looks nice but can be slippery if you walk across them and they are wet - so walkers beware. And get ready for a challenge. Straight out #1 and then downhill - approach shot over a creek to an elevated green. The #2, hit it straight and you will be in good position - left and you are in the woods. The next hole is a beautiful Par 4 straight out with trees and woods left and right and a very small green. You will love #5, a Par 5 that goes straight out about 250 and then turns and goes straight up a monster hill to a pencil green. Get my drift. The course offers 18 unique golf holes all with woods, water and very, very good greens, well placed traps and lots of challenges. Bring your 'A' game and you will go home with a smile on your face. It's a long walk, at lease 8000 yards when you include the transitions but you will not be disappointed. The hardest Hole is #15 on the back nine which a long Par 5 with a blind tee shot up a steep hill. Once you reach the top you will see a 'dead tree' that looks like something from the Adams Family's front yard. Aim at it, and with the right kick you are dancing in two. A must play.

Course is in excellent shape. I saw nothing on my round that would knock rating down. Price is $27 for seniors with Tee Time book. Staff is friendly and helpful. Wish it was closer to Baltimore. Snack bar is quick but with limited selections.

Very interesting layout. Besides the narrow tree lined fairways, you have to deal with some elevation changes, dog legs and some blind shots. Once you get past that, the real challenge starts. The greens are wicked fast with a lot of break in them. This course at $60 bucks is a must play.

Fantastic course at a great price ($27 - Tee Time Book). Fairways, rough, and tees were fantastic. Traps all had soft playable sand. Greens were spotless, although they were fast. There was some slope to them in places, but no multi-tiered levels making longer putts impossible. Grill one of the better ones that I have been in. Had a great "gourmet burger".

My first time playing The Bridges. I liked the course. Pro shop staff were very nice. Used the Victory Tee Time book and saved some money. Course was in good shape for early in the season. The greens were lighting fast.
A very nice course, I will go back.
