This was the first of 36 holes on a decent (56 degree) February day. The course is in great winter shape but on this day the greens were a bit slow. The only reason the greens were slow was because they had not been cut due to the rain the previous two days. The course drains very well, some places you could not tell we had got much rain at all. I suggest if you had not played here before to come down before the rates go back to normal prices.

Unlike a lot of area courses that are showing some wear and tear from the summer season, this course looks as lush as ever. I credit the hardy Bermuda grass as well as good maintenance - wish more courses in the area featured Bermuda. This place also drains very well - we had carts in the fairway today despite some rain last night/this morning. Fun links-style layout, lots of mounding in the fairways but not crazy (like for example Hunter's Oak, that place is nuts). Par-5's are all excellent holes. I've warmed up to this place and will be back.

There is a lot to like about this course, but it falls just a bit short of five stars. I like the Bermuda fairways which hold up well in the summer heat, but don't like the Bermuda rough and its annoying tendency to swallow golf balls. I like the links-style layout but don't like how the grass on the mounds in the fairways can often die out because it's hard to mow them properly. I like the complimentary grass practice range. I like the fact that the starter moved my twosome up ahead of a foursome so that we had a sub-4:00 round. I like the twilight time greens fee and the fact that twilight starts at 3pm (and they let us tee off at 2:45). I like the absence of houses (except a few across a water hazard from the 8th and 12th fairways). I like the variety of holes and the contours of the greens - challenging but not crazy, except maybe for 18.

Somehow it doesn't quite add up to five stars, but as I said, there's a lot to like.

The course was in really good shape but I would not say $125 great. The fairways were pretty much perfect but the rough is really grown in thick and will only get tougher in the next 2 months. The greens looked ok to the naked eye but they were not rolling as good as you would expect from a course that is over $100. I noticed quite a few bumps that are normally no there I guess the bad rain and weather the night before had something to do with it. In Ocean City this is the best course there, I would rather play here than Lighthouse if given the choice of the two.

Man O'War is a first class links style course and one of Ocean City's finest. The course was in fantastic shape from the tee boxes to the greens. The bermuda grass gives you a great lie wherever the ball lands. Staff was friendly and the unlimited range balls are a great plus. Man O'War is a must play when down at the beach hon.

I played pretty well out there and felt it was a difficult course, but there are plenty of chances to score as well. Lots of different shot choices off the tee.

It is hard to pick which one is better this course or Lighthouse Sound but if you have the time and money you must play both. This is a very hard course that needs to be played three or four times. This was my third time playing and I had a great time since I had the layout down pretty good. The Ruth's Chris Steak House was so so, but other then that the golf was great. Greens were very fast and the fairway was cut perfect.

Well I had not played in over a month because of a broken thumb so I was a little rusty. I was very unhappy with the way I played but let me tell you this, this course is the real deal. It is very hard and it was not just me I played with a 4-5 and he even shot an 84. The course is one of the best I have ever seen in MD and that includes Lighthouse Sound. There are a couple courses there one is private but if you are a Sparrows Point member you may have an easy in to getting on, a former employee is now working there I won't mention any names. Ruth's Chris steakhouse is also there for a great meal. Anyway please do yourself a favor and check this place out but make sure you bring your A+ game.

I think it's incredible that a region like the Eastern Shore that has been plaqued with a lack of rainfall, still manages to produce golf course that are just so green. This course was awesome to say the least. It is situated on the old Glenriddle Ranch where War Admiral, Man O' War, and Seabiscuit were bred. This course is full of history. The course itself was different than any other course I've played before. There are double fairways and often times pot bunkers on most holes. The large greens are even more challenging. I loved this course. There's nothing better than playing golf and then going into the clubhouse to enjoy a sizzling Ruth's Chris Steak.

Links style course at it's best. Well placed bunkers, rolling fairways and greens with lots of break to them. Great course and a lot of fun to play.

This course is brand new and in perfect condition. It's a true links style course and is very tough. There are a lot of well placed sand traps that make you think twice before hitting your shot. Overall a great course and a lot of fun.
