Very nice facilities and pleasant staff. Three courses, so good thing they are efficient at the bag drop. Driving range was off mats. Some tee boxes had some patchwork sod on them. Greens had been punched earlier and not fully recovered yet. A fair test of golf with some scenic holes and cart path stretches. Water comes into play on a few holes, and was not visible on one tee box. Conditions should improve in the next few weeks.

One of three courses at the Ford Colony complex in Williamsburg. The course was in the best condition I have seen it in since I started playing here in the fall of 2008. The fairways and greens were immaculate. The staff were very courteous and efficient getting our clubs out of our vehicle and onto our golf cart and checking us in at the pro shop. We had a mid-day tee time and the course was not too busy. We played in less than 4 hours. We played off the silver tees (5,695 yards par 72 and slope of 120). As we found out you need to use good course management to score well. There are many holes that have doglegs and lots of water although much of it can be avoided or should not come into play. The course is scenic with lots of trees. By far the best value of any round we played in 2012!

Some of the best greens I have seen anywhere. All 18 greens, which resembled a private course, were unblemished. I liked this course the best out of the three courses at Ford's Colony. The wide open fairways and average length made it easy to score on.
