| The Brier Patch Golf Links is your perfect public golf course located 2 minutes off of I-77/ 1-64 exit 44. This is the best course for your wallet in the beckley area. The golf course is generally in average condition but is a fun track to play; challenging but if played smart a low score can be posted. The golf course cant be overpowered because it is a short golf course w/ 2-3 drivable par 4's, short par 5's but some-what difficult par 3's, some have called the design "stupid", I sometimes agree. Short holes, lots of water, lots of sand traps (never good condition), and plenty of trees, very tight conditions on 60% of the course. If you play the reg mens tee's leave the driver at home, aim for the fairway (150 yd. marker), and you will be around 72. PLAY SMART OR BRING EXTRA BALLS! |
