Played 27 holes. Absolutely my favorite course played this year. A beautiful link-style layout. Some tougher, shorter holes, and a few longer easier holes, a very nice mix overall. Fairways were pristine, as were the greens and areas around them. Quite tight, which made for fun chipping conditions. We had 3 chip-ins between 4 people on the same hole from the same spot (played the hole twice, 2 chip-ins first time around, 1 chip-in the second). Plenty of birdies to be had, and some great risk-reward opportunities. Love the closing hole, a twisting par 5 that gives a good opportunity to cut corners and get home in 2. Staff was very nice, snack cart came around often. Excellent driving range and putting green for practice. Replay rate for 9 holes was $15, so the overall cost for 27 holes was $75. Overall the best time I've had at a course this year.

First time playing Wyncote...I'm a big fan of links courses so I'm probally a little partial.I really enjoyed the layout, the fescue as they call it (more like fescue taken over by thick weeds) is unplayable from most areas, that's if your fortunate enough to find the ball.So in effect there is a hazard left and right on almost each hole.Greens, tees, fairways and roughs are in great shape.Check out the pub afterwards for a refreshing after round drink

My foursome (15-20 handicappers) play once or twice a month and we found this course to be VERY challenging. It was not set up for the average weekend golfer. The PGA probably could have played a tournament here. Unless you hit it straight, you're in trouble. The fairways aren't the widest and neither is the rough, which means all that is left is the thick, matted, butt- high tall grass. And if your ball goes in there, don't even think of looking for it - it's gone. It became very frustrating for all of us. I could tell my group was losing interest in the round when we got to the 15th hole and 2 of them said, "only 4 holes left". As weekend golfers, we don't mind paying to play the top level courses, but we want to enjoy the experience, and we really didn't have fun here Saturday. And for the price, the course was lacking in several areas. There was no GPS, which is almost standard nowadays. No info on the day's pin placements. It was our first time here and the tee markers that depict each hole are very simplistic and look like cave drawings. They were no help at all. And there was no hospitality cart. Maybe alcohol would have made our round more tolerable.
Overall, on the positive side, staff was friendly. Pace of play was great, but that's because there is no need to look for wayward tee shots. You just drop a ball. It's what we did, the group ahead of us did, and the group behind us did.
Wyncote was a course that we heard so much about and wanted to play and we did. But, one time is enough for us. We'll go play other courses that offer more perks for the $ and a better playing experience for the average golfer.

I thought this course was amazing. I love links courses, so this was perfect for me. The greens and fairway were in good shape for the time of the month, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

A little pricey for weekends ($70) but course was in great shape considering the type of summer we have had. Was cart path only due to rains on Friday and pace was ok.

But the resturant service was horrible. Middle of the day having to wait 15 minutes just to get a hotdog - that was not even completely cooked. Stopped back in after the round and had to wait for almost 10 minutes before a server came out of the kitchen to swee what we wanted. Really diminished the experience.

What a layout! If you are a fan of American links style golf, this is the course for you. There really are few trees that come into play, but the heavy rough is more than compensating. You can sometimes work around trees; if you hit it in the fescue, you have problems. The owner, Jim Pepples, has created a great atmosphere forgolf here. You can get unlimited golf, range, AND carts for $2400.00 a year! IF i lived close to here, I would join immediately. Depending on the shifting winds, you might play a diiferent course every day. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed.

My first visit to this course and it won't be my last! You would expect to pay $100 to play here but we played for $49 on Friday. Course was in excellent shape, the greens were perfect, the fairways were in excellent shape,& rough was thick and not to be messed with. They were plugging the tee boxes today but they were still very playable. No problems here. Great food and service. Everyone was very nice and I can't wait to go back! Hidden Treasure!

Course was in great shape. They have been running a June special(Mon-Fri) 35 walk/49 ride. Course was in great shape but watch that rescue beyond the rough or you'll be going through new balls like crazy. It is a links style course and has some nice elevation changes and vistas. Houses do not come into play, but are visbile on the final 6 holes.

Only downside is there is no beverage cart. On several holes there a cooler of water bottles on the honor system.
Pub has great food and the pro shop staff was outstanding
