Hadn't played this course for over 10 years. At that time it was called Harrisburg-North. And it was "north of the border" at that time. Not well maintained, lousy greens, etc. But alas, the golf gods saved this gem. With new ownership, complete replacement with awesome bent grass greens (new and very very nice), this place has been transformed into one of the best kept secrets in Central PA. But bring your A-game off the tee. You must hit the ball straight off the tee to succeed here. Each hole is tree lined with up and downhill dogleg left and dog leg right. And if you can hit is straight, you will enjoy the maturity and scoring opportunities which abound. You will have some really long holes and some short ones. On the back nine, there is a horseshoe Par 5 that bends around the course and rises uphill to a small green on the left. Then #16 is straight down a "shoot" with huge trees on both sides. Hit is straight and you will be up the hill for an easy chip. Then a monster 550+ yard Par 5 #17 to take you towards the finish, But the most interesting hole is #10, a 239 yard Par 3 over a large pond and a huge old tree on the left. The green sits on top of a hill and this is a "dozy". It's the only Par 3 that I will actually take out my driver. Good luck folks. But you will enjoy the Augusta-like look and feel of this place, and because of new greens and fairways manicured to perfection, you will think you are there...for only $25 a round at 1 PM on a weekend...this course is a "no-brainer" and worth playing over and over again.
