Back 9 fairways have recovered nicely. Not perfect but better.
Greens were good. Sand was raked and soft.
Overall, we were impressed that they put a good amount of effort into the course to make it ready for spring. Example- the dead limbs from winter ice have mostly been cleared away.
It is 2014. Please get a point of sale system that doesn't require an 80 year old man to use a mouse to click on a spread sheet and a barcode scanner that is from the early 90s. If it takes longer than 30 seconds to check in a golfer and take money, you need a technology upgrade.
Not a high end track but, I recommend and will play again soon.

The dead fairways still exist on the back nine. They have had plenty of time to make the necessary repairs. It appears they are not capable.
I like Flatbush and think the staff are super. By now they should have been able to make repairs to the fairways.
Greens were very nice. A little slow from recovering aeration and new grass coming in. Green, with not many ball marks yet. (There will be plenty ball/foot marks soon).
Tee boxes were fair with a lot of crabgrass. Fairways on front nine were fair. Back nine fairways are still an absolute mess.
Not a bad layout. The course is inexpensive and gets a lot of "senior play" like many cheaper courses with senior discounts. (save the comments on "senior play" I don't care what you think, pick up your feet and fix the ball marks)
The people are very nice and they try to please.
I will play again.

Price was definitely right, Greens were surprisingly very nice and a good speed, front 9 Fairways were nice....now the back 9 is another story...Fairways# 14,15,16 along with #17 approach and a few tee boxes have been killed off by either fertilizer or chemical, they have verticut some seed but nothing yet, not quite sure what happened but it's bad, bad enough someone should have lost their job.Pace of play was ridiculous,5 hrs 30 mins to finish,I would have quit if it wasn't for playing with my friend, no marshalls anywhere to be found,I'll never be back on a holiday

Got a chance for another round today. It was winding. I have never played there on a windy day. Course conditions were very good. This has always been a challenging course, with long Par 4's (all but one are under 400 yards) and water in strategic locations. The Par 5, Hole #7 is an elegant hole that dog legs to the right and demands that you either go over the water in 2 or lay up and nail the third shot. No problem today. The front nine was wind in your face then wind at your back. Lot's of fun. The back nine is more hilly and narrow and demands shot shaping, especially Hole #14 which is right dog leg with some big pine trees that you can hit over. The next hole, #15 is a really cool dog leg with a 150+ yards of carry over large pond to a narrow fairway that follows the tree line on the left. Then a double dog leg Par 5, #16 straight out, then dead left, then up a big hill turning gradually to a hill top green. Very cool. In fact, the entire course has unique and challenging holes with water hazards, hills and mature pine trees. This a course worth playing many times. The only issue right now is the greens were recently punched, and have not had time to grow, and hard and chip shots don't check up - this will change as we move into a wetter time and when they can finally cut and roll them. A course worth the value and time to play - I did the entire round 3 and 1/2 hours. That's the way it's meant to be played. Not too fast, not too slow and with unique challenges along the way.

Interesting track. Flat as a pancake on the front nine with interesting water hazards that you must carry. Holes are straight and long. It's cool because most PA course have hills. Well...hit the back nine and it's more like PA. There is an interesting Par 4 that you hit across a ravine to a side hill lie - no avoiding it - then shoot straight up the hill to a green the size of a postage stamp. Nice dog legs at the end. I would play it once or twice a year to improve you long game.

Couldnt get a Tee Time at Quail Valley, so we decided to play somewhere close.I Figured out of Cedar Ridge(Dog Track), Westminster National(Joke), South Hills and Flatbush, that Flatbush would probally be the best option, well I was wrong. Flatbush is a decent layout, but the Greens were full of Poa making them very slow, almost like putting on Tee Boxes. Fairways were not cut and was about the same length as the Rough, heavy clumps of dead grass all over the roughs. Course Markings are horrible, Tee Boxes didnt even have a Yardage Marker, Sprinkler Heads in the Fairways had nothing. Bunker Sand was very thick, heavy and dry. Now, Pace of play....We followed a Foursome on the Front, had to wait on every shot and they never once let us play through. By #7 I called the Proshop and asked them to send someone out to handle the situation, He tells me he's busy and will try to find a Ranger(After hanging up I never once saw anyone)We did end up passing them at the turn. It's almost like the Hackers this place draws have no Golf Etiquette what so ever. The price is right here, but I would avoid it and definately play Quail Valley.

Typical winter conditions.
They were working "fluffing" the sand traps.
Has some nice hardscaping. Greens were a little bumpy but firm. Greens should be very nice in about a month.
The Gal in the pro shop was gracious.
In spring the course should be worth another look. I will try again.

I thought the course was in great shape. I have paid much more than $39 for a prime tee time on a Saturday morning and been very disappointed. The only criticism I can offer is the lack of a cart person.

I thought the greens were a little slow. Beyond that I really enjoyed playing there.
