Course was in excellent condition. Greens were fast and true. Recommend any golfer move forward from their normal tee in order to really enjoy this great course.

Course is in great condition except for minor mold(?)maintenance around the edges of some greens. Rest of course is in excellent condition. Keep the ball in the fairways, however, as the rough is universally lush, thick, and high. Staff is excellent, both friendly and helpful. Excellent snack bar. I had a prk barbecue sandwich special for $6.75. Overall price with Tee Time book is very reasonable for a course of this quality although the regular price is a little steep. I would play this course again if it wasn't so far away.

Definitely a roller coaster ride, need to play it a couple of times to know where to hit the ball, keeping the ball in play is a must, could use a couple of more water coolers on the course, thick rough made it hard to find balls out of fairways,I'd play it again but not my first choice of The Tradition courses.I thought the course overall was ok, being that we havent had much rain the last 2 months........if you like "target" golf, this one's for you!

Stonehouse was in good shape, and it certainly is a beautiful setting. We are big Mike Strantz fans, so we were not disappointed-we like to take new members of our traveling group to his courses and see their reaction.

I got to play Stonehouse and New Kent while out in Williamsburg and was very pleased with both courses. The greens were quick and rolled true and the fairways were almost immaculate.

Played the course using the Tee Time book. Cost was 40 dollars which is a real bargain for this course. The course is going dormant since it is the middle of November. Also the greens had been top dressed. That all said, this course is an excellent layout with some beautiful holes. It's not just a grip it and rip it course. You need to lay up off the tee on some par fours or work the ball with the driver. Several elevation changes along with greens guarded by bunkers, water, and run offs make you think before choosing a club. A very fair and fun test of golf. Also, a very important aspect for me is how I get treated by the staff. The Stonehouse staff is very accommodating. An excellent value.
