At $95, I thought this course was a bit overpriced, particularly compared with some of the other courses in the area. However, The Green is always a pleasure to play. The staff is nice and welcoming, the club house has a great dining area and menu, and the course is always in great shape. I do like The Green better than the Gold--just personal preference. The course was in good shape, but some of the fairways are already turning to their winter "shade of brown." My only complaint is it took over 5 hrs to play and there was a member playing behind us who was just ignorant. We were on pace and keeping up, and the marshall told us he shared with them that the course was stacked up and it wasn't us!! It's really unfortunate that members at these resort courses think they are on private courses--their antics turn resort guests off. Either the course needs to go completely private or reset the members' expectations. He saw 4 women in front of him and made some assumptions (confirmed by the marshall). (We probably have lower handicaps than he does!) In any event, it's a favorite for me in Williamsburg and I highly recommend it.
