Due to weather conditions recently and the lack of rain, the course took a hit in terms of dryness. There were spots that were definitely fast than others, and splotches where crab grass made the surface somewhat bumpy. The greens were aerated reecntly as well, which made it rather difficult to read the breaks cleanly. It was relatively calm in terms of wind for that course, which was nice (The course plays rather windy normally). Overally, given the drought, the course held together well, but still had spots that made golf difficult.

I have been golfing at Jonathan's Landings for many years now. JLs is a great course for the beginner golfer up through the scratch players. The front 9 offer wide open fairways and slight doglegs with the occasional ponds as hazards in front of the green. On the bag 9, you have to play a bit more strategic as the course winds through a housing development; I've seen a couple golfers take out a window or two of the years. Delaware had an unseasonably mild winter this year which has really helped out all the courses in the area. The fairways are greening up reall nice and the actuall greens weren't destroyed this year because we didn't have the typical frost/snow. For those of you who are military affiliated, JLs offers a discounted greens fee as well. Furthermore, they do have a decent snack bar which serves domestic beers/drafts and your typical bag of chips and hotdogs. Overall, I love to play JLs, whether it be mid-November with freezing winds or mid-July with 100% humidity. Any skill of golfer will have a great round here!
