Course was in good shape. Greens are firm and lightning fast right now. Many of the stacked sod bunkers have been removed and replaced with traditional sloped bunkers. I love this golf course and would recommend to everyone

Have a special running for July of $55 unlimited play after noon. It was a good price for this Gary Player course. Great layout, lots of variety in hole configuration, and five tee boxes to choose from. Fairways in pretty good shape, except #10 and #17 were cart path only and were very wet (#2 and #8 were cart path only also). Additionally, #10 was filthy with goose droppings and feathers all over the hole (and the pond was full of geese). The greens were fast uphill and slow downhill--go figure! They were in pretty good shape other than hard to read the speed and a bit fuzzy and bumpy. Bunkers were excellent, but watch out for some of those really deep bunkers that will take some effort to get out of in a forward direction--might need to think about going out backward. Extremely nice staff who welcomed us (pro shop and starter). The round, unfortunately, was slow--the foursome in front of us had at least a hole open (or more) in front of them and clearly were playing from the wrong tee box for their skill level. They were all over the place, and we waited on every hole. But, other than that, it was a great day and the course in good shape overall!

Back for my yearly stop at my favorite Golf course .Greens, Tees and Fairways were in great shape, intermediate rough was thin and bare in spots, but maintenance was slit seeding during play.it appeared that a couple of the stacked sod bunkers had been changed due to erosion....many still remain. For those who haven't played here, you really need to check this course out.

Now don't get me wrong, but this is the first course that I have played this year that has been noticeably affected by the drought. Raspberry Falls is still a great course, but here and there there were places that were showing signs-a couple of tee boxes and fairways; rough that had been cut short, perhaps to save it; and the greens had recently been sliced and diced(in August?) and were they ever slick. And, this is the first time I can remember that my foursome and I observed that the cups were crowned...I can only conclude that in the past someone was taking care of this. Lastly, in RF's defense, there were several maintenance crew out and watering greens and fairways during the day. I just hope they don't run out of water until the rains come!!!

Raspberry Falls was in fine condition today. If you're a senior and play during the week with a golf association, it's within reach once or twice a year. Greens fee was $45, and gas and toll from Arlington is beginning to cut into my beer money...

Greens were recently aerated and very crusty. Collars and fringes are mostly dead; lots of bare dirt. Tee boxes were a mess; decent fairways though. I play here once or twice a year for a splurge, but was very disappointed in the condition this time.

Excellent conditions except for a few worn tee boxes and some mud-like sand traps. Pace of play was very slow due to our following a snail-like players two groups ahead. Tee length setting colors are non-traditional.

Raspberry Falls was in good shape. Even though it's still early and the greens had recently been aerated, the course was very playable. Gas, tolls, and golf index from Arlington was $45.

The back certainly trumps the front, but overall the course was a bit disappointing. The greens were bumpy and divots were not fixed regularly. The sand traps are a tremendous challenge, some were 10 feet deep. A very nice club house and environment but a very average experience. The navigation in cart was a plus and the coupons on the pro shops website made it an overall worth while trip out to Leesburg from the DC area.

We've played Raspberry Falls several times in the past couple years, but on Memorial Day 2009, the course was not in as good of condition as the full price would indicate. The greens and fairways were in reasonably good condition, but some of the tee boxes were muddy from the recent rains or the grass needed to be cut. For the first class green fee, I did not feel I received a round on a first class course. Some TLC by the grounds crew is needed.

Got a great deal on last minute golfer. Would have been glad to pay the full amount. The course was in great shape and the staff was very helpful. Need to go back in the spring the fully enjoy the course.

What a great layout. One of my favorite courses. Greens have grown in nicely since the aeration at the end of August. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

I've read many reviews in numerous places of this course and found myself driving around the area and decided to stop and play. The staff was excellent and I got lucky and had to wait only 10-15 minutes as a single to get out around 1pm. The course layout, fairways, and scenery are excellent. The only problem with my round was that the greens had been aerated 3 weeks ago and they were still in poor condition. Very, very bumpy and super slow with the aeration holes still visible. I am sure that when they fill back in and cut them they will be better. They also had a few too many unrepaired ball marks which I tried fixing 3 or 4 per hole. One beverage cart on each nine and they were around frequently filled with ice and cold beers. The clubhouse could use a little better food selection and overhaul. Felt like a lot of muni's I've played. Overall I give this a B+/A- only because of the greens. This type of course in a popular location would cost around $125 or more a round so it is a deal at $105.
Look forward to playing it again in another month when the greens are better.

Greens were a little slow and looked to have been air-raided a few weeks back. Overall course is great.

I played this great course on a cold and rainy (48 degrees) day in March. With only a few available days to play golf, I have to take advantage of it, no matter what the weather.
The greens were AWESOME. They must have rolled well above 10 on the stimp. Not only were they fast, but they rolled true. The fairways also were in great condition, considering it was the last day of March. My only complaint (and it is not a big one) is that there was only sand in the green-side bunkers. The fairway bunkers were full of gravel, the foundation of bunkers, I am guessing. With a winter rate on LastMinuteGolfer.com of only $44, you can't go wrong with Raspberry Falls.
