Very surprised!! I haven't played this course in probably 10 years, mainly because it had gone downhill and the conditions were awful. However, a friend told me it had improved. And, boy has it! I was very surprised. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent shape. The only dirt spots were in the rough, mostly in the paths exiting the greens and where carts exit the fairways. The greens were soooo fast--I had 5 three putts and even a four putt! Don't get above the hole! But, the greens were in fantastic shape. The bunkers were okay--they had a thin layer of sand on top of some hard pan. They need to put some time and money into improving the bunkers. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because of the pace of play...it took us over 5 hours on a Saturday. The course was not all that busy, but we waited every shot on every hole. On the turn I told the Pro Shop to send out a marshal, but that didn't happen. However, we saw the problem on the back...one foursome had 1.5 holes open in front of them, so we called and they did send someone out. Just had to be persistent. Paced picked up, but the damage was already done. Some of the normally poorly conditioned holes, i.e., #11, #13, and #15 were in good shape. Hole #13 was cart path only, but is recovering. If you haven't played it due to conditions, give it another try and see if you don't think it's improved.

Greens were a little shaggy compared to usual. Fairways are spotty with patches of dirt. Rough is very spotty with some grass and lots of areas with weeds.

Course has greatly improved. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in the best shape I've seen them. For only $25 you get golf and 2 beers, you can't beat that deal!

OK. Been a couple years since I played here. Vowed I would never be back. But things are shaping up, they are surely putting some $ into the course. Greens were great. Fairways were good, Still a work in progress on #13. Still have some issues with rough areas (drainage) off the fairways. Tees are being redone. Good to see some effort to improve. Still don't like some holes on the front, too cramped in. But will return

Greens are in good shape and fast. Short front nine even from back tees makes a lot of short second shots if driver off the tee.

I have played this course often throughout the years and it appears they are continuing to put money into the course. I see others mentioning slow play but we played our round in 4 hours and noticed a ranger. The course does not offer the food like they used too but you can always find a good deal. Greens were great and fairways are growing in as they are zoysia it appears. I would recommend giving this course a chance.

Course is not in too bad of shape. The problem is that they always over book the course. We were almost 5 hours into the round and were only at 16. There is no ranger enforcing pace of play. If you can find a time when there isn't so many folks out there it might actually be enjoyable. Until they address the pace of play issue, I would not suggest playing here.

Last year I gave this one of the worst reviews ever and I swore not to go back. My brother lives right next to this course and told me he heard they put some money into it and lots of repairs. They had a deal where you pay $49 get a free round next time and two free drinks so we went for it. The bunkers were all redone with white sand but the sand is very heavy almost feels wet but it was dry. The green were much better than last year but just ok except for a few that were still in poor condition and hole 12 that some jackass put cart skid marks on the green. The areas off the fairway and pretty close to in play that had really bad conditions last year they dumped so much mulch to cover it up I think they did more harm than good. There are a lot of areas along the tree lines that are in very poor condition and I seriously doubt they will ever be good because the trees even without leaves block the sun. The fairways are thin, there are not really any holes that you will remember except the par 3 18 is a decent signature hole. The pace of play rivals Pine Ridge. It is very very slow, the two guys they paired us up with left after #10 3 1/2 hours at that point, I'm not kidding. They had a starter and 3 people working in the pro shop, maybe they should have sent one of them out to marshal the course. We left after #15 it was unbearable to watch 2 groups of hacks play a 6 1/2 hour round. Other than the free round I have coming that I will try to play mid week sometime I will not be returning as a paying customer anytime soon. This course is only open for people in AA county who can't afford to play the surrounding $100 courses. Arnold should be ashamed to have his name associated with this place. They should just fill in the course with houses, that would better suit this place it is not a golf course.

I had not played here for about a year and swore i would not go back, but i am glad that i did. They have put some money back into the course and fixed the cart path up where it needed it and removed some trees, they still have work to do but it looks promising. They have some great promotions going on and you get play there really cheap. They also revamped their website.

Based on others recomendations, I took the opportunity to play Bay Hills on a warm November day. Previous reviews appear to be out of line because greens were smooth, fairways were in great shape and the bunkers look like sand was recently added. A friend directed me to their web specials, the rate and course provide you ample reasons. The course is short to today's standards but provide varying challenges. I have played the course iin the past and it appears they are finally providing the TLC that was needed.

I should have read Chewy's review beforehand. To take his line, I don't even know where to begin. This course is about as bad as I have seen. For $44 bucks it's a joke. We played the day after it rained and each bunker was a water hazard. Then they had the balls to put a "cart path only" sign up. Really? The fairways were about as soft as the pavement on ritchie highway. You know its bad when you hit the fairway and your ball bounces 30 feet in the air. There is no pace of play considerations either, the three people in front of us played as slow as you could imagine. At the turn we waited 30 min. To top it off on the 10th, a group of grounds keepers decided to work on the bunkers as we were waiting to hit our approach shots. The staff here is nice and the lunch buffet was good, that's about the only good thing I can say about the course.

I don't even know where to begin. The course is in the worst shape I have ever seen ANY course. The fairways grass is tall, there are hard dirt patches all over EVERY fairway, the green are beat up, the tee boxes are beat up and they charged $44, even them paying for my round and gas to get there would have been a waste of money. I wish you could post pictures on here I would show you because I took like 20 with my camera and that was just after hole 5 to ask the pro shop why this place is even open.

Played Bay Hills early Sunday Morning and was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course.Tee boxes were ia little worn but the fairwaysand greens were in very good shape. A few spots in the fairway were under repair but nothing that should be a concern. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to replay for free. Very well worth the $42.00 with cart.

Course is in fair condition. There is a temporary green on #12 because of water damage to the primary green. The rest of the greens are in good but not perfect condition. Traps are well tended and recently raked. Some fairways have water erosion damage and rough has a lot of erosion damage. Grass on tees is thin or non-existant. Decent snack bar.

I used to really like this course and always talked it up. I was really let down when i took some friends there for an afternoon round. The tee boxes were a wreck with hardly any grass on some. The sand traps looked like they had not been raked in weeks. The cart path looks like it has been in a war. I got a good deal on the price but that is the only positive thing i have to offer.

Pretty nice course overall, marginal grass in places but mostly good hitting conditions. I like the layout, most fairways are pretty wide and greens are pretty manageable. Overall value can't be beat. One downside is there is no 9 hole rate, but the full 18 can be played for relatively cheap anyway.

Fairway grass has gone dormant for the winter and the recent rains have created some troublesome drainage problems on several fairways. Greens are in good shape but traps will need tending to after rain lets up. Tees will need some help also. No snackbar service available when I played (Monday).

Not a pleasant golf experience, and we (all 4 of us) won't be going back. The course is a mixed bag, with average fairways on most holes, slightly below average greens, and some horrible tee boxes. The staff was rude, from the pro shop to the kitchen to the starter. In fact, the starter forced us to tee off 35 minutes prior to our tee time, even though we weren't ready. He said we had a 3-minute window to tee off, and he couldn't guarantee he could get us off if we didn't go then, even though we had a scheduled tee time. Since we had driven an hour to play the course (strictly because of the apparent Arnold Palmer connection), we decided to rush and tee off anyway. The starter was a real jerk about it, and the golf part didn't get much better. Overall, a poor experience, and we won't go back. I can't believe Arnold Palmer still has any connection to this dump.

This was the only course that could get my pairing on that day so it would have to do. For the better golfers stay away! Although the course challenges you on some holes, the condition of the course alone would steer me away. Beginners only!

Course is in good winter condition. Greens are brown but with good grass. Traps are excellent for winter time. Fairways and rough are looking OK for the season. Staff was friendly and helpful but snack bar was still closed for the season.

I'm always on the fence about this course because it could be really great but often it is well just ok. A little patch here a little patch there and it becomes an eye sore. The course plays great for all skill levels it is sort of like Cliffton where you can really get back on track with a nice score. If you are not far from this place check it out not really worth the ride from Baltimore for such an average course.

Many of the greens have significant large brown areas. They still seem to roll true and can hold a pitch in. Traps are in excellent shape. Some fairways and roughs are showing heavy cart use areas, although where heavy use is not a problem, they are in great shape. Excellent snack bar had a taco buffet the day we were there.

This course was very short and very average. The fairways were very hard and had a lot of dirt patches. The greens were in pretty good shape. I got a "web special" tee time so it only cost me $25 bucks. If I would have payed full price, I would have been pretty disappointed.
