rtx_cb_bpWhen the weather breaks from winter to spring, it is hard not to get that itch to get out and swing those clubs again.  The other itch I tend to get is what new golf gear am I going to buy this year?  It seems like a continual never ending process of upgrading your bag to the newest technology in hopes it will shave a few strokes off your game.  Usually, I make several trips to my local golf shop, to figure out where I am going to spend this year's golf budget.  This year, I decided to improve my short game gear.  I have always been told to get Cleveland wedges as the Cleveland brand is the most respected wedge brand in the industry.  So I did some research on their new MT, TT and Altitude irons, each one designed to hit the ball straighter and closer to the green. Cleveland game improvement irons technology is supposed to make it easier to find irons that work for more swing types, since every golfer takes a different approach to getting to the green. So I went ahead to Cleveland's site, customized a 60 degree and a 56 degree wedge, picked the colors and personalized them. After shooting a 76 on the last day at the Barclays, Ian Poulter bashed the greens keepers, PGA officials, and the host course Beth Page Black.  He took out his frustration on the lack of moisture on the greens and the poor course setup.  Many golfers struggled to shoot at or below par in the afternoon as the greens became very hard and dry.  Very rarely do you see a pro golfer three putt multiple times in a round, and that became the norm on Sunday afternoon. Ian Poutler sounded off on twitter after his Sunday round.
The worst course setup I have ever played in 13 years on tour. They have ruined what is a great course, greens like concrete stupid pins.
I saw 2 of the best putters in the world 4 putt the same hole. Tiger had four 3 putts never has that happened before. Same for everyone.....
